hi friends.hope u watched the first day play and can proudly say that the indian bowlers did a good job except one.sure harbhajan bowled economically and got a wicket.it may look cool on paper but in the match,he was bowling worser than the part timers.
greame swann of england.he is not such a great turner of ball and hasnt even played 15 test matches but manages to get wickets for england during that match all the time even when the pitch didnt assist him.ironically, most of his wickets were LBW that too left handers.so what did he do that harbhajan didnt do?he flighted the ball even when the windies were piling up the runs and never hesitated to come around the wicket for the left handers.
many people agreed that harbha is at his best when he flights the ball at around 78 kmph but today most of the deliveries were over 90 kmph.its more like a slow medium pace bowler who can move the ball in.u cant say the pitch didnot help him.that pitch had spin and some bounce but harbhajan didnt use it.he never bowled around the wicket eventhough the score was 66 for 6.its like he is trying to defend as if they were 330/3.
if he continues at this rate, the selectors wont hesitate bring in amit mishra .he may be inexperienced in international level but he flights the ball even when the batsmen goes after him and got some nice variations.

I don't subscribe with your view. There are up and down in all great players career. In fact, it is a truth of life that one can not always get success in what ever one is doing.
Today, Bhajji was not bowling as expected, indeed he was too below than his average performance. But to say that he is not dangerous will do no justice to this player. He has played good cricket and has the ability to bowled dangerously.
Yes, you are right that India did not capitalize after the fall of sixth wicket, then to blame it only on Bhajji is not good. I think pitch was also responsible for this and fast bowlers were more effective.
Swann does not deserve any comparison with Bhajji. Even a part timer bowled effectively on various occasion.
I think Harbhajan is our best option at this moment and wait he will take wicket, the series is not yet over.

i agree that there r ups and downs .he did went down but came up very good .dont blame the pitch.the pitch got dried up in the afternoon sun and because of that seamers didnt get much help as they got in the morning but some of harbhajan's ball spun a long way and had bounce and he failed to capitalise on it.i am not talking about this series alone.he had been like that all through last year but he got some wickets.furthermore, swann is not a part timer.he gets chosen before panesar who is their main spin option and he is the same guiy who almost dismantled the indians during the his first 2 matches against india a few months back but one thing is that he is consistent.

I think Harbhajan Singh is a very good spin bowler. It is like that every player will be out of form in a period of time. Good players will come back very soon after their form is back and does not stay out of form for a long period of time. I also think Amit Mishra is a very good spin bowler. I think in subcontinental pitches Harbajan Sing and Amit Mishra both should play for Indian test team.
