Ms Word doing opposite things

Has anyone encountered this problem before in Ms Word. Normally, when you press the End key on keyboard, the cursor moves to the end of the line and Home key takes the cursor to the start of the line but in my Word, this is happening opposite - Home key takes cursor to the end and End key takes it to the start:)
Dont think it is a virus because every other thing is working alright. only Word is doing this to me.
Has anyone faced such a problem before? What did you to fix it?

I've had a lot of problems with my keyboard - so many time that i changed it 3-4 times already. But nothing this specific.
My problem was that a key got stuck or short circuited somehow and everytime you tried to do something calculators used to pop up. (i thought it was the doing of a virus)
Did you try changing the keyboard or unplugging and plugging it back on?
Its possible that one of the rarely-used keys are short-circuited which functions a shortcut to reverse some functions only on ms-word - though i highly doubt it...
I have tried searching for options that i can use to change settings in Word but couldnt find any. Where else to look for settings that relate to keyboard functionality in Word? @BobbyJJ (1)

I've just encounted the same problem with home and end and left and right arrow keys doing the opposite function.
On the formatting toolbar there are two icons which I've never noticed before. These are 'Left-to-Right' and 'Right-to-Left'. Ensure that the 'Left-to-Right' one is selected.
