http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29741246/ This guy killed a 12 year old boy in 1973..And was just released but cannot find anywere to live. A pastor then took him into his home but almost the entire town is protesting to have him removed from there town... How many of you would be joining in the protest to have him removed from your town? Or do you think that this guy has a right to live wereever he chooses?..

I think he is already 70+ years. You cant really say that the man would repeat the same crime he had did more than 35 years back. Why not give him a chance at his age?As for the Pastor is concerned he should not have let him live in his house as you dont know about an unknown person.

My question is, why was he released to begin with? He should be definitely out of society. Anyone who messes with a kid should be in the big house for life, with the key tossed away. That child that he killed has been serving a life sentence since 1973--in the grave. Why do the judges think he should walk the streets again? Most likely, he will kill again.

Well, In some ways I do agree with what you say,but in some cases I do not... There are kids who hurt other children and go to jail for a long time, I think some of them are able to be rehabilitated....BUT I think that before anyone who is let out of prison and was there in the first place for hurting or killing a child should have to go through a series of tests proving they are of no harm to any community..

I know that it is not good for murder and although you cannot bring back someones life (The child) the pastor had every right to take him in, the guy has spent 26yrs in prison and is allowed to live whereever he chooses according to his release terms. It is not fair for anyone to get kicked out of a town that they just moved into and haven't done a thing, except want to get their life back on the straight line.

You know, what you said is exsaclty the first thing that came to mind when I read this artical this morning. BUT then I began to think about it.. I understand were these people are coming from. Because of the horrible crime he commited NO ONE with children is ganna feel safe with this guy in there town.. Basically there sitting around just dreading to hear a child in the community has been kidnapped or killed... I would not want to live my life in fear everyday. I would just move and advise everyone else who has children to do the same because I do not think they can make this guy leave unless he has broke the law... he was served with so many years and he did serve thoes years and now hes out.. he has offerd to wear a anklet and they fear that that wil not help any.. im not so sure that i wouldnt feel the same as these people do here....BUT i do beleive SOME people who have killed before will never do it again on the other hand like you said it would have to depend on what exsaclty happen in 1973 when he murdered this boy.....
