Christmas Trees & Toddlers

I need help. I am trying to figure out how to keep my almost 1 year old out of the Tree this year. She is very determined child & I know it will be a battle but I don't want to go without a tree. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Somewhere not too long ago I saw a portable outdoor baby playpen. It was made to be taken on travels. It's round, and expands, kind of like those wooden baby gates that you put into doorways. It has no bottom to it, so I thought that might work out for encircling the tree. If I remember right, I think it came in two different sizes. I want to say I saw it at Walmart, but I'm not positive. I know what you mean, a tree would be positively irrisistable to a child that age! Good luck~

PS: I forgot to say that it's a circular playpen and not the square type.
