http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29733775/ "A statement from the Mont Tremblant resort said Richardson fell on a beginners trail and later reported not feeling well. “She did not show any visible sign of injury but the ski patrol followed strict procedures and brought her back to the bottom of the slope and insisted she should see a doctor,” said the statement from the resort, about 80 miles northwest of Montreal. The ski resort said the instructor and a member of the ski patrol accompanied Richardson to her hotel, where they again recommended she be seen by a doctor. Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Catherine Lacasse said Richardson said she seemed fine at first. “An hour later she said she didn’t feel well. She had a headache, so we sent her to the hospital,” Lacasse said. “There were no signs of impact and no blood, nothing.” Richardson’s films include “Gothic,” “A Month in the Country,” “Nell” (in which she appeared with her future husband), “The Parent Trap” and “Maid in Manhattan.”" that is so scary!! she fell then had a headache and now shes dead!! i didnt recognize her till i read what she had been in and i have seen several things shes done.. rip Natasha

Winter sports are not risk free activities, and it was mentioned She was only on the Beginners slope at the time of this tragic accident..It just goes to show you that a blow to the head,no matter how trivial seeming should never be taken lightly...Perhaps a campaign in Her memory would raise the profile of the risks involved and the work of the Mountain rescue people...? RIP

This is sad. I loved her in Parent Trap. She played that part great! I pray for her family.

This is so sad and tragic. I feel for the family, her husband, and her boys. It is just so amazing how one little thing (fall) can turn so tragic. They say, they feel that when she fell the brain might have slipped just a bit and caused blood to fill the brain. When at first she felt fine, but as the blood starting to fill she started getting a headache and that is when it started to turn for the worse. I liked her in the Parent Trap and Maid in Manhattan. All my prayers go to the family and friends. R.I.P.

That's really sad, she was so young, and also so healthy looking. Makes you realise that you have to make the most of life, as you never know what's going to happen next. Thanks for posting this, I hadn't heard about this sad news before I saw your discussion.

May her "Boys" and her family heal and remember her with love. It is sad and scary. I feel for them and will take it as a reminder of why they make safety equipment. I loved the movie Nell.

What depressing and sad news. She also starred in the movie version of A Handmaid's Tale, based on the book of the same title, by Canadian Author Margret Atwood. It's a heck of a good movie. Maybe I should watch it again tonight. Amazing how life can change in an instant.

This news is so shocking and sad. I heard on the news tonight that brain injuries don't always show up right away...like hemmoraging....she refused to see a doctor...because she didn't know she was that bad....whatever the case....sympathy to the family! She was too young to die!

That is so sad, and depressing. She was so young, too. I feel really sorry for her husband and their two sons.

It is scary. It seems bizarre that she was fine immediately following the fall, and then, after an hour started to have symptoms. How sad for the family.

It's very sad indeed. I remember when they did the story of how Liam met her. I posted a link to another story in another thread on this very subject in which Liam, her husband, asked that they be given time alone. Hopefully people will respect their wishes. Namaste-Anora

Wow, that is so sad! It's so scary that something so seemingly insignificant can end your life. Life really is fragile.
