My hubby chopped down a pretty good size tree with a VW Beetle a few years ago. It was terrible. They had to cut him out of the car, and even broke one "jaws of life" getting him out. They had to send for a back up one to finish getting him out. The whole process took over an hour.
Luckily, all he got were two broken ribs and a had to have surgery to correct a fracture in his ankle. (It was pinned between the gas and brake pedals).
Notice that the tree hit dead center in the driver's side door. I'm shocked he lived.
What's the worst thing you've ever lived through? Did it change your habits?

The worst wreak I was in was when I was 17. I was hit by a car while crossing the street. I went over the hood, over the roof and over the trunk before hitting the road. It took the woman a full block before she was able to stop. Somehow I managed to get through it without a broken bone. Even all these years later, I'm still nervous about crossing streets and for a long time I had to hold someone's hand to cross the street.

I think she got a ticket for driving drunk...that's it. We talked to a lawyer but he said that since I didn't have broken bones or internal injuries and she was on welfare it would be a waste of time. I hope it's stuck with her all these years though and haunted her dreams.

If you don't believe in God after seeing this, I think you're nuts! I can't believe that's all he got away with!! I know I've been through a few wrecks in my old Volkswagen but that was a couple decades ago, and that looks like a newer Bug.
I'm glad he came out of it alright.
Worse thing I ever lived through was a wreck when I was innocently driving a moped to my brother's house and got whacked by a guy who made an abrupt turn. Ruptured my spleen. Still have my spleen (repaired) and an impressive scar.

I have not had the misfortune to test how dangerous life can be. I live a simple, boring life and that is how I like it. Cheers!!
