I'm soo sad, my stars are increasing today T_T

Hello there! How are you today? I'm so sad because it's the first time I got my stars decrease. Yesterday my stars are 9 with red color. I do not know why just now I saw my stars became 8 and the color is yellow. I try my best to respond a discussion and rate someone. Honestly, yes I did rate negative to some discussion that irrelevant to the topic. For example the topic is "Do you like coffe of tea?" then someone m reply "I like juice more than both if it". Do you think that my stars decreasing due to that? Any one, please share your experience about how your stars increasing and decreasing. I'm appreciate your response and happy mylotting!

I want to appreciate you first of all for getting a rate 9, within 260 posts and this shows the quality of your activities. I also met such decrease in my star rating and I was unaware of the cause I started a discussion here.Then I happened to know about negative rating and our friends clearly explained the facts for the decreas. My star got decreased this morning too. I asked around, because someone just gave me a bad rating. I probably offended someone then, I guess. I have to make more posting to increase my rating I guess.

Dik- Welcome to the club of those of us who have lost star ranks lol. I know it's a bummer to see it go down but to be very honest the star rank is arbitrary and no matter what people say it really is a popularity contest. All you can do is follow Mylot TOS guidelines, do your best in sharing openly and honestly, and try not to worry too much about your star. I know that in TOS Guidelines it does stat that those who abuse the rank system will only hurt themselves. I'm not sure I fully understand how a program algorithm like that one would work, but I think if you honestly rated someone whose post violated TOS, or was off topic that it shouldn't harm your rank.
