working? Including time at a job out side of the home and any job you do to make money at home? On a typical day, I work from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., then from 3:30 p.m. to about 4:30p.m., then again from 7 p.m. to about midnight. So, all in all, I spend a good 13 hours a day working in one way or another. What about you, how many hours do you work in a typical day?

I just got laid off, but my work is never done as I have my son, so I'm always on patrol 24/7 lol. I don't have any jobs outside or inside the home. Right now this is all the income I'm getting and it isn't even that much because I'm not always on.

I understand exactly what you mean. I take care of my kids and the house most of the time, but once in a while, my husband will take over and do everything. But, working to make money, how many hours a day do you put in?

Yes, you are laid off, which means that you are not workign outside the home, but, you are making a little here. It may not be much, but you could consider it work.

I spend eight hours a day working sometimes an hour or so more as overtime, But I try not to work more than nine hours a day as it takes away from too much of my life. I value my time spent with my partner, family and friends so I try to blance my workload and try not to spend as least time working when I can.

A good balance is important. Even though I put in many hours a day, my life is still pretty balanced.

hello Lynne, I also spend a lot of time at work since I'm single and supporting my family since my father passed away for almost 5 years... I work at the office at about 10 hours and then I spend trying to make extra income online for about 5-6 hours so that will be about 15-16 hours a day...

I clean houses outside my home. I am not only cleaning, but also trying to gain more clients. That is my morning job. Then, I help my kids deliver newspapers. In the evening, I am on the computer. I write articles and reviews, I try to visit those sites each day, I visit this site, and I visit pickjack. In total, I visit six different sites each day. When I am not actually visiting any sie, I am researching or checking my e-mail.

So, do you work those extra couple hours or just hang out? I know a lot of people who would just hang out because they didn't want to fight traffic.

I work 8 hours a day and maybe 6-7 hours on every other weekend. It takes me 2 hours a day for driving, so in general my day is very short. I have only time left for sleeping , eating and taking care of my pets.

I work from 8:30 to 4:30 daily, Monday to Friday. When I finally get home, usually around 6:00 p.m., I have to make dinner, cleanup, get ready for the next day, etc., so I can finally sit down and relax usually around 8:00 p.m.

Well lets see I work my job from 7:30am-2:30pm Then I go home and get there at 3pm start laundry or some kind of house work. Around 4:30 I start dinner and we eat...clean kitchen...do homework....finish clothes...then about 9pm that night I can finally sit down and rest. Fall asleep and start it all over again. So yeah I work about 13 hours a day also...LOL Life is crazy when you are a wife and mom. I couldnt wait to get out of high school to live in the "real world." Now I believe my parents when they told me not to rush it. I wished I was back in high school sometimes. LOL

I spend 9 hours a day at my full time job, then I come home and do all the things that need to get done around the house such as taking care of 4 cats, a dog, a rabbit and 2 horses, cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc. I would say I am doing some form of work from the time I get up until I go to bed at night!

On a typical day, I am working from 5am till midnight so I guess that’s almost twenty hours. Well its sounding unbelievable to me too, but its true. I have to get up at 5am and prepare for my son’s school (his bus comes to pick him up at 6am). Then I prepare the day’s work including dinner and leave for office. After office, I pick up my son from my mom’s place and return home by 7pm. Then I sit with my son’s homework and by 10pm I am preparing for dinner (laying the table, warming the food etc). dinner gets over by 11/11:30pm and so its bedtime for me by 12.

My husband and I own a business but he puts in a lot more hours than I do. I normally spend about two hours doing housework around the house before I go in and then I spend about five hours at the shop. I spend maybe an hour cooking and cleaning up after dinner and a couple of hours mylotting while watching tv...if you count that as work...so I guess I spend about 9 or 10 hours doing some form of work.
