What a week, With Liverpool's great results this week, and now as predicted Rafa signing his contract to oversee a new era of success with LIVERPOOL.F.C. This is great news after a great week. Is this the start of a great run in, or will we fall by the wayside, ?????

I was reading one article regarding Liverpool and the author mentioned that at the final whistle at Old Trafford, Rafa would be sending an SMS to Liverpool owners which would start "Now about the contract..." Seems that is true and has happened. Of course, it was clear to me once Parry was destined to leave that Rafa would sign a new contract. Now he has done so and is supposed to stay with the club till 2014 which would mean that he has a chance to complete 10 years with Liverpool. The big four with the exception of Chelsea have chosen longetivity of their managers to knee jerk reactions and I feel that is one of the reasons for them remaining the big four. Cheers! Ram

Managerial stability is one obvious assest for any club, but now that Liverpool have this, they now need to find owners who are (and not just say that they are) commited to this massive club. I think that the American comedy double act did not realise that this club was much too big for them to take on. They bought the club and the bricks and mortar,(with loans, may I add) but they could not afford the heart and soul.

Yes, this whole business ownership of football clubs is killing off the spirit of the game and it has become more a battle of business these days.. Cheers! Ram
