With no distractions. I insist on dinner together, we do this every night. About 3-4 times a week we play board games, usually monopoly. I think this family time id very important. It creates memories and we all know what each other are doing. How about you? How do you feel about family time? How much time do you spend together?

I definitely agree with you here. Family values is something that endures through the ages or at least I hope so. I have a small family in which I am a housewife and homemaker. I do enjoy having the family sit together at meal time especially dinner. I fully agree with you that it should be insisted upon. It creates good values and ethics for the children to grow up with. It has been said that it is a good thing for people to sit with their children at dinner time. I am not sure that a lot of families practice this because so many people seem to busy with work and other things that they forget the important things in life. It is kind of sad when you think about it. Children are our future. They need us to set a good foundation for them. And that starts in the home in my opinion.

That is great. You probably have instilled some wonderful values for your child. They really can learn a lot about life through growing up in a caring home where sitting at the dinner table is insisted upon. Like I had previously mentioned. This time and age has made a lot of families unable to make it to the table just to share a meal and I find it to be a shame. It doesn't even take too much time to enjoy a meal and each other's company. Spending time at the table and with children really shows them that we care and want to be involved with their lives. It could keep children out of trouble half of the time and some parents might not even realize that. Take care.

We usually have time as family during dinner, too. And we also go out during weekends. But on weekdays, since my kids have classes, as soon as they come home, I make it a point that I would be able to sit and have time with them, I even help them with their studies that serve as our bonding time together with my kids.
