Did you ever went through Renal Failure?

Did you ever had kidney failure? My wife went through acute renal failure when we were newly married. She was in a very bad condition. She started with low blood pressure problem which went on increasing and we got her admitted. Her condition was worst at that time but still we took her walking upstairs in the hospital as were unaware. The same day all the tests were done and next day when we all saw the reports we were shocked and had tears in our eyes as doctors said she will have to get dialysis every month to survive. I thanks the doctor where we went who is specialist in kidney problems who did a lot for us. He tired a lot gave very heavy medications and somehow brought things normal. Now she don't need dialysis. She is fit and pregnant too. My wife is very strong to bear all those treatments, centralizing and all the machines all over her body but still a smile on her face. Have you ever gone through any such severe problem?
