I'm just wondering what else can you do with french fries aside from dipping it in ketchup and mayo? Can you make a dish out of it? I want to know some fun ideas or recipes using french fries.

HI Niah, well, you can try melting some cheese or use uhm cheesewhiz on it and sprinkle some stir fried ground beef. It's great if you want to have a try... sometimes, when my friends and I are having food trippings, we dip the fries into our vanilla sundaes...

There are lots of things you can do with french fries.. My favourite is a donair plate..which is not available everywhere...Here where I live it is my favourite...but full of calories... It is served in a round tin foil dish, the bottom is french fries, followed by a layer of donair meat. On top of that goes onions, tomato bits. and the top if piled with mozzarella cheese...Then we have a special sauce to serve with it...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yummy!!!.... Donair meat is a spiced ground beef cooked on a spit...it resembles slices of spiced roast beef when cooked..slices or strips are shaved off with a sharp knife...The whole thing is truely delicious!! ALso I have made a dinner with french fries on the bottom and ground beef and gravy with onions on top Also being from canada..there is always Poutine..a favourite of many and commonly referred to as a heart attack on a plate. Golden french fries loaded with curds of Mozza cheese, and top with hot gravy...YUMMY!! Also for the more venturous, there is french fries, mixed with ground beef, onoins, peas, dressing, and topped with shredded mozza cheese and covered in gravy.

You can make a French Fried Vegetable Casserole out of it.. You can also, make them baked with cheese over it. These are the only few ways that I can think of it..

Chili Cheese fries are awesome! You can also make a hot dish out of the frozen fries with meat, cheese and whatever else you would like on them. Personally, I prefer ranch dressing with my fries. Kat

Well this is one way that I like to eat fries I know it may sound gross but my sister told me about it and I tried it and it tastes really good, if you take warm fries and dip them in vanilla ice cream yes vanilla ice cream, or even a milkshake will do it tastes really good! Who would of thought to put the two together, my sister did.I gave it a try and I like it too :)

I love fries dipped in Hidden Valley Ranch...yum!! One restaurant out here serves a combo they call 'loaded fries'. Those are delicious! They have a base of fries in a basket, and then there's sliced black olives, melted Mexican-style cheese, and some chopped bacon on top. I've had it with ground beef on top, that's good as well.

French Fries are my favorites. I mix salt and chilly on French fries before I fry them. I also like to eat French fries with vegetable cutlets. I have seen people mixing omlet and bulls eye with French fries. Some people mix fish with French fries. I also like to put onions and salads with French fries.

I also love french fries with ranch dressing or cheese on top, sometimes both! But I have also found they are an interesting replacement for tortilla chips. A mexican food place near me sells carne asada french fries with cheese sour cream and guacamole. They are so good.

My ex-girlfriend used to put chili, cheese, and sour cream on them and call them "chili cheese fries".I really liked them and I think you can order them in some restaurants now.

I like Spike seasoning and cheese on my fries but your question has given me an idea. There is a restaurant here where you can get practically anything on your baked potato. They put seafood and all kinds of things on them. Your discussion has inspired me and I am going to start experimenting with adding more things on top of my french fries.

i will experiment, too. i find it boring to just put dressing on it or dip in in different sauces or gravies. i want a new idea, a new dish out of it. thanks my friend!!!

hi niah, i'm not sure if you've ever tried it. But whenever i cook adobo, i fry potatoes and add it to my adobo. I make sure its fried crispy enough. I guess you can try that with the fries that you buy in groceries so as to save you time cutting up the potato. It's really good... well my family loves it!

you can dip french fries in cream cheese. also, use it in omelet. it's easier to cut and cook than if you would use the regular potato.
