Are you a vegetarian or a die hard non-veg eater? What do you preffer and why? Some say being a vegetarian is healthier but nowadays because of the increased use of pesticides, we doubt how much healthy are the vegetables and food crops? Some say non-veg is harmful but we also know animal meat kills the harmful micro organisms in our body? so tell us which is your food habbit and why? this will let us know the ratio between vegetarian and non-vegetarian in mylot.

I am a vegetarian, actually a vegan to be exact, meaning I do not eat or wear anything that comes from an animal (ie milk, eggs, meat, wool, silk, etc.) I think it is possible to be healthy eating either way and possible to be unhealthy either way too. I think it is healthier to eat as little animal products as possible. Of course I think it would be a lot better if people didn't eat any animal products, because I love animals. But, I don't tell people how to eat.

Hello Angel! I would put myself somewhere in the middle of the two extremes you have listed. I do like non vegetarian food but not too frequently. Primarily I am very happy with veg diet and I mix it up with non veg food once or twice a week, which keeps me happy. You cannot generalize all the non veg items in the "harmful" category. One must check the quality before consuming. I am sure that even if you eat veg food which is stale, it will harm you.

I am vegetarian or can say eggetarian. I did not eat nonveg food for the past 20 years. I eat eggs, but I am limiting it as far as possible. I like fruits very much. I make fruit salad with it and take it. I also like taking fruit juices. I think vegetarian diet is very good for health and also helps animals and birds to live in this beautiful world. I think there are lots of good foods in the world that nature gives us that we can take without hurting or killing any animals or birds.

I try to eat vegetables but I really just don't like the taste of most. So I end up not eating a whole lot.

I eat whatever I want because I have learned that my body knows what it needs and lets me know what that is. For example, when I was pregnant my body was retaining water. I was at my mothers house for dinner one night and the salad was full of cucumbers. I do not like cucumbers, but that night the cucumbers looked irresistibly delicious... I picked every single cucumber out of the bowl, and even begged them off everyone else's plate! Years later I learned that cucumbers are naturally diuretic. So, if I find myself craving meat then I eat meat, if I am craving beans and rice then I eat beans and rice. A couple of weeks ago I lived on broccoli for days... I just could not seem to get my fill of it. I would wake up in the morning and think "what do I want for breakfast?" And immediately a big plate of steamed broccoli would come into my mind and make my mouth water. Dinnertime would roll around and I'd go "What do I want for dinner?" And immediately a big plate of steamed broccoli would come into my mind and make my mouth water, hehehehehe. Truly! This went on for days! Now I'm not interested in broccoli at all. These days it is sausage and maple syrup that is calling "Eat me eat me!" So that is what I am eating. PS: I responded to your question in that other discussion on the Law of Attraction. I was going to post it as a comment to your response so that you would be notified when I did, but I did not see a response from you there.

I am not a full blow vegetarian, but do eat my veggies. I am a meat eater, with veggies, lol... I maintain a good portion of both meat and veggies in my daily diet.

I prefer the non-veg stuff. I still try to eat some vegetables, because I know it's good for me, but I don't really like vegetarian dishes in general. I like being able to have both vegetables and meat dishes. Meat is such a good source of protein. I don't think I'd be able to go without it!

I am very healthy and have been vegetarian for nearly 20 years. I don't eat any fish or seafood, nor any poultry or meat whatsoever. I rarely eat eggs and sometimes eat dairy, so I am not a full vegan, but no meat for me. My boyfriend and I are both happy, healthy vegetarians, and proud to be!
