Sixty tablets a day and hormone injections, surely there's an easier way!

Actress Suzanne Somers claims she has found the fountain of youth and she has written about it. She is 62 and she does look great (I have no idea whether she has had "work" done) but she has a daily ritual that would probably take most of each morning as well as cost a fortune.
She rubs hormones such as oestrogen on her arm each day and progesterone on the other arm 2 weeks out of every month.
She injects oestriol vaginally.
She takes 60 (yes 60!) pills every day, 15 go down with some kind of health smooth her husband kindly prepares for her.
At the end of the day she has an additional 20 tablets.
Here is the link to a video of her appearance on Oprah

She spends a lot of time doing yoga as well.
She admits she is a fanatic, what do you think?
I think staying young is mind over matter.
Have you found the fountain of youth?
What do you do to stay young?

I remember when my father there was an American TV star, or maybe actor who boasted taking about thirty pills a day. I think his name was Bob Cummings, but I'm not sure, as I'm not sure what happened to him. But my view is that any extra time you might get would probably not compensate for all the time you spend trying to keep yourself young. I don't care for takimg a lot of pills.

Well, if it helps her; I tell you what, if some of those pills will keep menopause from my door, I'll gladly take them. I am not looking forward to that at all which is why I am trying to change how I eat, more water, less sweets, incorporate something healthy instead of sweets. I do take some fish oil to combat the high cholestrol that I have. I love eggs, but I don't eat the yolk. I use Eggbeaters. And I'm using shea butter on my skin a lot these days and trying to get some more for a friend who has eczema real bad. I heard it helps with that.

It seems you are doing a lot of the right things already. Menopause doesn't affect everyone the same way so you never know you may even breeze through it! Health food stores have a lot of tablets which are herbal and may help; it's a matter of finding the right one for you. Anyway you are taking good care of yourself keep it up and thanks for responding!

All of that combined almost sounds unhealthy! Is there any proof that all those pills are what's making her appear younger?
I think there are other ways to look good as you age...good diet and exercise first of all-those are always givens...and hello, just go out and buy wrinkle cream or whatever skin care stuff you want. And you can take vitamins that are good for you, like vitamin C pills and stuff.
I don't think you need a ton of those fancy stuff she's talking about. I think it'd be a waste of money and frankly--what you've listed, not worth it.
THERE ARE OTHER WAYS!!!

I could not be bothered anyway taking all that stuff, like I said to MaryLynn I think how young you look is partly genetic and most importantly depends on your attitude in general and how well you take care of your health. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

And expensive I would think, although I doubt that would be an issue for Suzanne Somers, thanks for responding!
