Everyone has a mobile phone I guess. It might happen you don't want to receive a call at some point of time due to some reason. You might be busy, in some meeting, angry with that person, unknown number, etc. I sometime cancel it when I don't want to talk (mostly unknown numbers). I did that in my office mostly. What will you do in such a situation?

If i don't want to receive a call.I will just ignore the call and then put my phone in silent mode. Then i will check the list of people who have called. If its an important person then i will call back and ask the message. The rest of the calls i will ignore.Because i am having a flip phone there is no way i can cut the call.

If I am in the house, I forward my calls to my house phone and then decide whether or not to pick up. When I am out, and I don't want to pick up, I just put it back in my bag and deal with it later. If whoever it is keeps calling, I don't want to kill my battery so I just turn the phone off for about half an hour and turn it back on when they get the hint..

Well usually, I just put the phone on silent during the times I don't want to receive a call from someone unknown. Otherwise, I put my phone on vibrate and if it's a person I want to talk to I answer the call. However, if it is not, I have enough time to put it on silent before it rings and wakes up the neighborhood. But basically, silent mode is your best bet.

Yes there are times I don't want to be disturb by calls, what I do is I forward all calls into my voicemail and the callers can leave me a message then I will just give them a return call when I am not busy anymore.

hello rakesh:-) if i don't want to receive a call from another person, i just put my phone in silent mode and ignore the call. sometimes i would hide the phone in a place where i can't readily see it so i won't be bothered by the persistent calls. i rarely turn off my phone during these occasions because that would be too obvious.

I'll hung up the phone, when I'm in busy.In the class or the meeting room,I'll send messages to the calling number to tell them I'm in busy,it's inconvenient to pick up the phone.

I'll put it into a silent mode so it won't disturb me. If I'm aware of that call, I'll switch to Busy mode.
