"Ba ba Black sheep Have you any wool Yes sir yes sir Three bags fool One for my master One for my dame And one for the little boy That lives in our lane." I think most of us read this rhyme in our childhood. This is a teaching. The last two lines are wonderful.'And one for the little boy/That lives in our lane'--Still there are many distressed children who live in the streets and lanes. They are shelterless. How many people think abouit these poor children! Will they not get shelter? Who will give them education.Who will give foods to these helpless children? We the fortunate people should think about these helpless children.

nice point bhanusb but first we blame the one who made the kids.most of them knows that theres no proper job and if there is a job its not enought to feed many kids so why do the made many?who is responsible for it?of course the parents!

You know better how the kids come. All kids are the blessings of God.The society is responsible for their misfortune.

i know its blessings but even they are dying because no food to eat and no house to live in you still call it blessing?having a kid is not bad but we should think of the kids future.2 kids is enough but 3 to 4 is too much PEACE

Life is so very hard for all of us, we just manage to make ends meet. So actually it would be difficult to think of sheltering or feeding any other mouth besides the family. However, if there are any left overs from the food, I always make it a point to feed the poor who are out on the street. I try to do what little I can for the poor, for I am not rich myself. I work two jobs to feed the family and then home to do housework. So, time is also a problem. What little time I have, I give to my old mother and aunt, talking to them everyday, at least for half an hour, so they do not feel left out. I believe charity begins from home. I give what little I can to my mother too every month. I hope this is enough for God to see me as a good person. Thanks.

Many, many teachers know a lot of homeless kids in our classes. I don't know any who fail to lend a helping hand. We give them money and food and clothing. Many of us would take them home to provide a roof over their heads, but it isn't legal for a teacher to do that. We find the "full ride" scholarships so they can look forward to college, including a dorm room. We provide them with counseling and, most importantly, we provide them with hope!

My daughter works with a high school band group and she said that about 30% of her kids were homeless, I'm sure that number has grown since we talked about this early last year. The band group had several money raising events to get there kids uniforms and instruments which they could borrow while in the band. I know they were working to get them shoes as well. We have school programs that offer breakfast in the schools as well as lunches. These meals can include direct family members as well as students. But I haven't heard much about these programs and right now our schools are not doing well money wise. We are showing over 12% unemployment in our county and ours is not the worse county in Oregon. Everyone is doing what they can, local grocery stores give tons of food to the food banks and many events offer tickets in exchange for cans of food. Help is needed for all.
