Is it the end?

WOOHOO I had two items sell on etsy this week!! It had been a long dry spell for me that lasted almost a year. I sold a ceramic bathtub for dollhouses and two ceramic easter eggs. I am so happy. I am hoping to get more sells. I really need the boost. I am working on several things right now to list on etsy. I have abandoned ebay for now. No sales there and fees too high. So how is everyone else doing on etsy?

Congrats!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling to make a sale on Etsy (or even at a craft show)? To know that something you made with your own hands was wanted by another is a great accomplishment. Keep your positive momentum going... if you have any new items to add, list one per day...promote in the forums. Momentum is a funny thing and when it's moving in a positive direction, you'll find it sometimes picks up speed and leads to more potential customers looking at your shop and perhaps even more sales!! Congrats again...I hope these are the first of many more sales in your Etsy future !

I have been lurking around in the chat rooms at etsy. I also have been doing twitter, facebook and myspace bulletins. I am hoping it all keeps up. I also have an order for 11 nametags outside of etsy and they are $10 each split between me and my friend. I have to work on those today after my marketing stuff for my JOB.

The JOB...I know what you mean. Sometimes going on Etsy is the last thing I want to do when I get home. It's not so bad when I promote in the morning while I'm drinking my coffee before work, and I don't mind using my laptop on my lunchbreak and promote a couple of items, but after work... well I just don't want to...lol My hubby helps me a lot with promoting also, especially at night. I guess he figures since I also cook dinner, it's the least he can do. Good luck and I hope your momentum continues!

I hear you. Sometimes promoting myself is the last thing I want to do also especially if I have been marketing at my JOB all day. I am always getting stuck as Marketing Leader for my office at my JOB every year and I hate it. But since it is an "army volunteer" situation there is nothing I can do about it. It just makes it hard on me when it comes to maketing myself.

Congratulations! Your efforts finally pay off. You are so persistent to have waited a year. I should have given up long before.

I have no choice but to keep trying. Giving up isn't an option. I only work outside the home half the year and jobs are scarse here. I wouldn't be able to work at my seasonal job if I got another job and it pays too good to give it up. So I keep trying and trying with my crafts.

I'm not familiar with Etsy. I haven't done any selling on any of the sites in so long. This is something that I really need to get back into to boost our income. When I transferred to the new school, I didn't get a work study job on campus, so until the new school year starts in the fall, I'm going to have to come up with something that I can do and still manage to do my homework.

I haven't had a chance to sell anything on that site yet. Probably because I don't have any idea what I could make to sell.
