You know the one I mean, the 5 ton canarde he dropped on lenno last night? I guess since every else one was tip toeing around it like the booger on someone's nose that no one wants to mention in a conversation.... Well, I'm the guy why says "hey, ya got a buger on your nose!" So, besides the usual dem/rep paradigm, any thoughts folks?

I commented in another discussion about it, but that one wasn't filed under politics, lol. Yeah, he didn't do too well. Every other person, .. it would have been a hay-day for comedians. Let's just say, he forgot to set up his teleprompter;)

I'm speaking on this as the mother of a disabled person. I'm not bothered by it personally, but the apology is appropriate and hopefully he's learned a lesson.

It really doesn't bother me what he said, he made a comment that some people find offensive (Funny how the only time I hear one word about it was when I was flipping channels at lunch and heard it on right wing hate radio, the rest of the American people could careless about it). This is a political issue, just like when Bush opened his mouth and something stupid came out. Liberals laughed at him, and conservatives defended his ways. Nothing new here.

Hi x! I did begin a conversation about it... I guess no one wants to weigh in on this one... I thought it was disgraceful that our President makes such a comment on national television!

I commented on this in another discussion. Anyway, I personally take no offense in his comments. But, I'm not disabled, and I don't know anyone in my family who is. That said, I want everyone to wake up and realize that it's not only President Obama who makes these kinds of comments. People say these types of things everyday, and people like me and you are the ones laughing at it. So what's the big deal about Obama saying it? Yea, he's the President. And? He's human like the rest of us. Now don't get me wrong. I don't agree with what he said. I don't approve of it. And I'd never say something like that on public television, just for the simple fact that it is PUBLIC television. But it's not right to instigate something that someone said, something that's done and over with, and something that was apologized for. Now maybe it's just my mentality, the way I was raised, I don't know...but I'm the type to just "let it go" as they say. I guess most Americans aren't like me in that sense.

You mean the comment about the "Special Olympics"? He apologized from Air Force One after he received a call from one of his aides at the Whitehouse. The apology was made and accepted before Leno even aired last night. Everyone makes mistakes, but if you are the pres, you should think before you speak. Just saying.
