I write a bit, but more than that, I love reading poetry. And I can't write anything except what I feel. I think poetry is an expression. The truly great poets perhaps could write about things they didn't personally feel (I wouldn't know), but for the lesser mortals like yours truly, poetry is an expression of what is felt within.

you are absolutely right some people can write more when they are feeling emotions and some can write when they aren't feeling personal emotions.

Of course. I'm a poet. It would be silly if I didn't like it. :)

I am a poet. But, I dont always write what I feel. Imagination is what drives me. That is writing what actually did not happen to me or I did not experience. Sucha work is very satisfying. No, I dont find it helpful to express the emotions in poems as it is. I may re-orient them. IF I write them as it is, I kind fo feel boring.
