People today are living in a world of uncertainty......in the field of work, uncertainty at home, uncertainty in relationship and in fact uncertainty in life itself. To overcome such Truths of life, people work relentlessly day in and day out for a better tomorrow. But this race of getting more& more and achieving success, has left people with dissatisfaction....Of course there are some who are satisfied and remain happy. But there are many others who, even though being blessed with lots, want more & more, and are never satisfied. What would you say to such people?? Don't you think that people should learn to be satisfied at some stage of life and spare a little thought for those who are not blessed with the goodness of life??? Friends, your views are eagerly awaited...

Some people are never satisfied and that is such a shame as there is more to life than a great big tv looking down from the wall.We live a quiet life really.we are careful with money and I suppose we get by very well.It could all be different if I went back into the rat race, earning lots of money and expecting to have new this and new that but I am through with all that.I am certainly aware of people not so lucky as I am.We live next door to a divorced woman coping with four kids on benefits but she just gets on with it,all the kids are clean and well fed and most of the time she is very happy with her lot, more money we could all do with that. Some people will have a heart attack trying to get stuff that is not important.Good health is the most important thing and also realising that material things are not what it is all about.Thats my view anyway. It must be so hard when you work night and day just to pay the rent.it is disheartening but you must beleave things will get better in the end.xxx

Hi suzzy3, Yes, satisfaction is within our control. Each one of us seek satisfaction differently. For some it is in obtaining more and more, while for others it is in deriving happiness out of the little they have. I wish your neighbor sees better days and remains happy. Thank for the response. Be happy.....

Everyone has a goal in life. Some have goals that take a few years to attain, others have goals that require a bit longer to reach. Some are content and work to maintain what they have. Others may have obtained a few things they want (and have paid for them )and trying to get something else they desire. Personally, I work as hard as I do to maintain and save for those uncertain rainy days. I don't live above my means. I help out those who I know need help when I can. It isn't for me to decide when anyone should be satisfied at any point in their life. I can only make that decision for myself. Satisfied with my home. However, will be happy, satisfied and content when it is paid off and I don't have to be concerned that I will lose my job and get behind and it gets foreclosed on after 14 years of paying a high mortgage. My relationship with my spouse is different. I am happy and content because I recognize neither of us are perfect and nor will we ever be. I accept his good and what I consider annoying part of him. Visa versa of course. I don't have a desire to seek better (regarding relationship). That goal has been reached. Saving for retirement...please. That's one of those years to reach goals. I have to say...as long as you are able to work and save, do it. The day will come and you will not be able to work as you did. Kinda like the story of the 'Ant and the Grasshopper'.

Hi MZKUMA, I believe that human life is like a departmental store and it has several divisions in it. Each divisions has different points of satisfaction & I must say,you have beautifully touched and explained all these points. I am really satisfied. Thank you for your beautiful responds. Regards.

Personally, I have always said and thought that people need to make life what they make out of it, and take it as it comes. For people to honestly ever think they are better than someone else, and never want to help others when they are down will often only hurt them in the end as well. If more people could quit focusing on themselves so much what a better world this all would be for sure.

I think so, once in a while is due. because as the old saying says all work no play makes a person a dull boy. maybe once aweek in justified. We faced the stress of work and family life most of the time.

Some people have personalities that cause them to always strive for more. My husband's older brother is like that. He's worth millions and is still striving for more...growing and expanding his businesses into different areas as conditions change. He has a beautiful wife, a lovely home, expensive clothes and cars, a yacht and he manages to enjoy all of them. But, he is driven. My husband has a different personality. He and I both reached points in our lives where enough was enough and we wanted a slower pace...a more relaxed life. We're comfortable and happy with the little things in life.

Everyone has to find their own way in life. Some get settled and well adjusted, while others thrive on turmoil... so I think everyone seeks their own level just like water does.
