Till now i have not a chance to use Wi Fi system for internet but i have heard from many pplz (maybe i am wrong about the definitions of Wi Fi)that this is a kind of system which you set up some place and ppllz can come and enjoy internet browsing to that particular area free without any wire connections. I come to know that in many cities of Europe & USA it has been developed and in use successfully. Did you have ever experienced browsing under this system. How it works and what about speed and security issues.

Yes, it is.. and this Wi Fi is gaining popularity in my country. We can find some access to it like in Mc'Donald's, Starbucks and other popular restaurants and etc. The connection can be a bit lagging at times but as long as it's free, I think people will love to use it..

My internet connection at home is Wi Fi. So I could bring my laptop anywhere in the house. The personal computer is also hooked to the Wi Fi. But we set the Wi Fi in such a way that computers from nearby will not be able to connect to my Wi Fi.

In most places, it is usually a pretty decent speed when you connect to WiFi. Some places set up passwords and that might make it a little more difficult to connect for some people but it does help. As far as security problems go, I have never experienced any problems.

I am using Wifi right now. Here in our house we have a smartbro or wireless connection and it needs a router to have an open connection. I am using my laptop and I can access to the internet even If I go in our terrace, in the sala or in my room or even outside our house. It is very convenient to use. The speed is okay and about the security if you will put a security code then no one aside from you can connect to the internet unless you tell them your password. So it will only be free if your neighbor is using a router and it don't have a security password then your lucky to connect. I am from the Philippines by the way.
