Do your nails make it difficult to use your mobile phone?

I used to have a mobile with squidgy keys, so it was really easy to text or dial a number quickly. Sadly, that phone died, so I had to get a new one. The one I have now has hard shiny plastic buttons, which makes it very difficult to use. My nails, which aren't very long, just slide or scratch the buttons. I'm not very fast at texting at the best of times, but it takes me ages now, and I'm wearing the letters off the buttons. I did look for a phone that would be easier, but they all seem to have these hard plastic buttons. I guess I will just have to keep my nails really short. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi katsalot1... Oh yes. I have this problem as well. Sometimes I forget to cut my nails short and it gets in the way of texting. My keypads are sort of uhhh.. wasted because I text a lot and there are times when my nails would scratch the pads. Unfortunately, I can't even change the keypads because it's built in. So if I have to change it, they'd probably have to open the whole thing.

I can hardly see the letters on my keypads now, and I don't even text that much. It is strange that they don't seem to make the squidgy type ones anymore, because they are so much easier to use.

Yes,I think it will be difficult to use mobile phones with nails. I am a person who types around 20 to 25 text messages daily. Also, I type and a very good speed. I can even type messges without looking on the key pad of cell phone. I think it will be difficult for me to type with nails for sure. I have never tried it.
