Hi We recently replaced a belt on our Whirlpool washer and alot of grease/oil was lost but my hubby not being a specialist at it doesn't know anything about washers and we had a heck of a time replacing the belt even with instructions. Well the washer is now having issues and has a grinding like noise which he thinks is because of so much lost oil/grease. We have the grease to replace it but no idea where it goes So if anyone know where it goes and what to look for please let me know..get back to me as soon as possible please I looked online but of the two I checked both wanted paid to anwser..Please help...I don't want to be plunging clothes in a bucket..so I am desperate for help..

I am an idiot on fixing washers, or house appliance. I had no idea how to fix things like that. If you need some information to fix your washer. You might try this website, it might has some useful information to help you out a little. Try doityourself.com. They have all sort of information in regarding your house appliances too.

bcmike, unlike yourself, clorissa offered some help by way of a site that might be of use. How did your post contribute to the discussion other than to flame and harrass? Shame on you....in future, try to be friendly and helpful if you can or keep your comments to yourself, you should know better.

Sorry can't help you. Can you call the company that made the washer. Call Whirlpool, and ask for help, tell them what the problem is, and that you want to grease it, but not sure where to put the grease. I would think that they would help you, after all that is what they are there for. Did you contact Whirlpool online? Give it a try. Hugs

Well since he tipped it over now it doesn't agitate at all told him he probably warped that shaft..Men..it had it's problems but atleast it was better then it is now...now I will be getting my handy dandy wash board and the plunger out and be washing cause there is no money on our budget for a washer since he is just now getting back to work since not working since Mid Oct. I seen a number for it but didn't have time to call it before he had it tipped over and water rushing allover the floor..I think the pulleys is loose which causes the belt to slip but since I am a girl I guess that doesn't count for much advice from my hubby when it comes to these things. But Hey thanks for the comment it is appreciated.

Where the belt goes round is a spindle or a wheel ...like a pulley. Where they both turn there should be some bearings ...little balls. These are the bits that need to be packed with grease. Anywhere you have metal moving against metal needs to be greased.
