How can you tell someone that he has a smelly under arm?

As some of my friends here know that I don't what to hurt others or humiliate them. So I really find it hard to tell this someone that he has a smelly under arm.I want to give him a deodorant but he might think that I am humiliating him. I know he is aware of it. Maybe it is just hard to find an affective product for that.

You could allways try just taking him to one side and quietly telling him that he should invest in a new deoderent.

If you are kinda close then you can get him a box set of hygen products. I know that around christmas you can buy them. I always make sure I get my husband the Old Spice stuff, not because he stinks but because I like the way it smells. I comes with bodywash, cologne, and deoderant.
