Can anyone tell me if you charge a car battery using the charger without plugging in the electric cord that is attached? If so what needs to be done. I've lost the manual and have only charged battery while charger was plugged up.

If there is an electric cord and you don't plug it in, IT WILL NOT CHARGE. The model number you gave in this discussion DOES NOT EXIST. Try again. Good luck.

hi the 12 v battery needs to be charged after you have used it please note that do not discharge battery beyound 10.5 volts.connect discharged battery to charger with observing polairity of battery. then connect the charger to a.c. wall outlet and switch on the supply. the chager will charge the battery to 14.5 volts.watch free gassing of each cell indicating battery nearing full charge. if you have hydrometer check gravity of each cell it must fall between 1.240 to 1.270.let the batter cool down.clean from out side with wet cloth (preferably soda by carb solution ) apply petrolum jelly to both treminal and put it to use
