I read that if u drink apple cider vinegar mixed with water before each meal, it cuts out the fat and helps u lose weight. Has anyone tried it?

ACV (apple cider vinegar) has fiber, which helps absorb some fat. You can get fiber in many forms. You do have to be careful, though. The potassium in ACV acts as a blood thinner. While that helps keep blood pressure down, it can cause other problems. Here is a site with the health benefits of ACV: http://www.healthrecipes.com/apple_cider_vinegar.htm

I don't think that anything can actually cut out the fat in what you eat, but I've heard (and experienced) that just drinking a glass of ice water before every meal helps you lose weight, mostly because you're filling up a little bit...you're less likely to stuff yourself if you drink some water first. Also, a lot of people mistake thirst for hunger, so it's always a good idea to drink water before eating anyway to prevent dehydration.

I read somewhere that whenever u feel hungry, drink a big glass of water. If if after 15 minutes u still feel hungry, then go ahead and eat

I have tried it. It's too hard to drink straight up vinegar. Ick!

from what I observe, ACV reduces my cravings for food, especially fatty food. I now have the discipline to eat just enough. My guess is, it has something to do with your taste buds when the ACV touches your tongue.
