He sent a video message to the leaders of Iran. They said that words are not enough. Here is the full article from cnn.com. What do you think about it? http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/03/21/iran.us.obama/index.html

I think it is good that Obama is making a move to reach out to these people. I also don't think we can blame them for being a bit leary. Haven't we all pretty much learned to wait for action rather than blindly just believing a bunch of rehearsed, well thought-out pretty words? If Obama is serious and sincere, it will become apparent in time and I'm sure they'll see that.

So far Obama is getting an F- in the forign relations department. We were told that he would repair U.S. world relations and everyone was lead to believe that if we just voted for him, all our enemies would love us again. WQell, we have a the clod reception from Iran, Huga chavez is still shouting and bloviating in his usual insulting manner, Lybia thinks he is a traiter to the Muslum Faith, and North korea is still carrying on it's usual boisterous attention getting tantrums.

Well, it was really hard to know. Let's just hope that everything would work out fine.

I think the president is incredibly naive to think that Iran is just going to welcome him with open arms. "Peaceful dialogue" and "negotiation" are not concepts they understand; sadly, it's the opposite. It doesn't matter that Bush is no longer in office...they still hate America and what it stands for.
