Gym or Home?

When you exercise, do you prefer to do it at home or in a gym? For me, it depends on whether or not my husband is exercising with me. If he is, we will go to the gym. As a matter of fact, we all go as a family. If I am in the mood to exercise and I am at home alone, I will exercise at home. So, what about you?

i would say the gym, because too many things distract me at home, unless I own one of those mega-home gyms

I don't think that even one of those would be used much at my house. Right now, I have my Tae Bo video, my husband has his perfect push-ups, and we go to the gym together.

Hello lynnemg, I like to go to gym instead of doing exercise at home, because i am kind a lazy person. Once i thought about to get e tread mill to home but then i changed my mind because i know myself if i have a treadmill in the house i will never do it. I need to go out observe, and enjoy being with other people doing something together , So yes i am a gym person. Have a great day!

I got a strider last spring, and I think I only used it ten times. It is just so big and bulky, there isn't enough room in my house for it. But, I do have enough room to do my Tae Bo, and I do enjoy doing that once in a while.

I prefer to do the exercises at my home.My routine is a daily walk for 35 minutes starting by 6am in the morning. After coming home I do the push ups and pull ups and stomach crunches and stretch exercises.I think that it is enough if you are regular with these aerobic and other exercises for the general unless you want to become another Aenold.

i used to exercise but only in the house. it's quite expensive here to go to a gym. besides with a year old one needs to be in the house all the time. now, the only exercise i get is when we stroll the mall :)

I would preferably exercise at home because I am very self-conscious, and am very overweight, and I just feel bad when I see all the fit people at the gym, though I am unable to use machines at home as I cannot afford them, so off to the gym it is. (I Get A Free Membership)

I am self-conscious too. That is why I only go with my husband and even then, we go when it is not busy and to the secluded areas.

lynnemg, For me, it would be the gym and it is besides the environment issue. I just feel that the gym is better equipped, availability of professional trainers to provide sound advice and adequate facilities to enhance our focus to achieve our goals to healthier physique through professionally moderated exercises. Unlike home, I just feel that there's just too much distraction from concentrating enough to even exert ourselves in pure exercises like children, phone calls, household chores and most of all that inviting and attractiveness of one's bed. Besides, exercising in a gym can be a shared experience with many similar friends and members where one can never have in one's own private home. So, gym will be my choice here. Cheers.
