I have always been a fan of the DLSU-Ateneo rivalry in the UAAP. I guess UAAP gets more interesting when the two schools meets in the finals. There is just but class in the way these two schools play. Have you been watching the UAAP DLSU-Ateneo Rivalry? How long how you been a fan of the rivalry? Which school do you prefer?

I've been a fan of La Salle ever since the Ritualo era. The rivalry is definitely something to look forward to every season. There's just a different kind of energy when the two teams collide. The pride at stake just pushes the players' abilities to the limit. Although last season wasn't as good a match up as the past ones. I felt the Archers were undermanned in the center position and just didn't have a guy to guard Rabeh. On the current DLSU line up I'm hoping Casio can mature more and be more of the same caliber Ritualo was. I think he's a more complete version of Ritualo. The adjustments that the two teams do every year is always something to look forward to.

Exactly. Rabeh was just too much for the Green Archers last season. He has greatly improved into a tough guy who can score and with high percantage on his shots. I also think that Ateneo has a more complete lineup last season. I heard that Maierhoffer is opting out of La Salle program. I think he is joining the pro league, PBA I guess. What do you think about that? If DLSU were able to acquire some big men to replace Maierhoffer production, they could be still on it otherwise Blue Archers would take advantage. I am excited for the next season.

That's a heartbreak for La Salle fans. I haven't really gotten much news on how recruitment is going do far for the Archers. I heard news that Rabeh and Tiu are out for the Eagles. If that's the case, I think it's going to be a more balanced season. But you know how La Salle surprises people with key additions so you never know.

Well, to be honest, I'm not really a fan of the DLSU-Ateneo rivarly. I don't even like those Universities. What I'm cheering for is the University of Santo Tomas coz my wife goes there. Personally, I wouldn't even watch the UAAP had it not been for my wife. She loves cheering for UST during a UAAP game.

UST is good UAAP team too. With Jervy Cruz and Japs Cuan on the line up their tough to beat. I forgot to mention Abbabou and Allera.

I've been to one basketball game of AdMU vs DLSU, it was a tight game but the team I was rooting for (AdMU) lost the game - they didn't win the championships for four straight years. I actually like the rivalry as long as it is confined within the bounds of sportsmanship and educational achievements - it's good to know that most of these two universities graduates get along well with each other in their workplaces :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

i think Philippines should have 1 league for all Universities and Colleges so we will know who is the best Basketball School in the Country.

Wow! This discussion was made one year ago?! Nice! Well... I don't really watch UAAP and I just found out that there is actually a rivalry between ADMU and DLSU two years ago... I don't really pay much attention to UAAP but I hear my friends discuss about it. They say they want ADMU to win but I go for DLSU even if I don't know much about UAAP. I like both universities but DLSU has a more impact on me. HEHE!
