Why didn’t it occur to me that I am wearing my reading glasses?

It happens. I actually know someone who was frantic and called a friend - she kept on saying, "I lost my phone!" then the other friend on the line said, "you're using it right now." Then they just ended up laughing :))
It happens mostly with things that we're very comfortable handling that we almost forget they're there.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

My glasses play tricks like this sometimes. I search every nook and corner, (which without my best pal would not have been possible at all) only to be laughed at by my mom as if I am the most weird creature on earth!
I think, we are too bogged down at times and they provide some fun for us. Life is beautiful and fun, isn't it?

Oh hehehe think that happens to most people.
My Mom was looking all over for her glasses this afternoon as well. She was also getting really frustrated with it. Well, we had to eat dinner so the 'search' was put off. When she was getting ready to go out, she opened her bag closet and there it was
Gee, wonder how'd that get there..

Hello balasri! hahaha..Don't worry, it didn't only happen to you. It happened to everybody who can't read without glasses. I remember how my mom look for her glasses when in fact it's on her eyes already. Then suddenly, she realized that she's wearing it..hehehehe..I guess it happened when we're very busy and that there are lots of things on my mind that we forgot some things.

Lol... I've done that before. I've even gone out with my reading glasses on, and I only wear them for reading and computer work! ha ha ha.
Brightest Blessings, my friend. I'm glad you found your glasses on the end of your nose!

Because you were not wearing your reading glass, therefore, you were looking for it. Had you been wearning it, you would not have searched for it..........LOL!

I make mistakes like this sometimes too. I will check my face to make sure I have my glasses on. I don't know why I need to do this, because I certainly know that if I did not have them on, I would not be able to see as well as I am seeing at that time. So don't feel bad.

The other way of it happens to me often. I wear glasses only when i go to office, and not while in home. But sometimes i try to push it up, when i am not wearing the same.
And a similar incident like this i can say, I was having my Bike key in my hand, and i was searching in all shelves, and in the regular places where i used to keep, but i did not realise until my mom said that i was having it in my hand.
Things like this occurs every now and then,in everyone's life and Bala is no exclusion...haha.
Take care friend.

I think you are only in phase one.
Wait until you are searching for your glasses while you are wearing them
and then the phone rings
and you pick up the remote control of the television and you answer it - and keep saying 'hello, hello' and then start thinking you might need a hearing-aid because your hearing is getting bad too

Hahaha! Hi there balasri. I have heard people experiencing such so you don't have to worry. Luckily, I am not using any glasses. If I have been using one, I could have experience such likewise. Well, sometimes there are things the we think is gone only to find out that we are carrying it all along.

My dear friend, you're not alone. The same thing has happened to me several times, that is.. looking for something, usually my eyeglasses, which are right underneath my nose or which i am wearing. Well.. I don't mind because I have given occasions for friends or family to laugh at a funny thing and boost up everyone's spirit but sometimes I can't help but worry that i might be starting to have memory loss or even starting to suffer Alzheimer's disease. God forbid. But really, it is funny as i also have seen some members of the family and also friends do the same thing and we all had a good laugh about it.

It happened to me one time and I that was when I was alone in the room. I was almost like crazy looking at the eyeglasses in every corner only to find out I was wearing them as I looked at the mirror. I laughed a real big laugh when I noticed that I was wearing them afterall. But later on, I got alarmed. As it may really be a sign of getting old.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who has experiences like that. I have been known to look for my sunglasses everywhere only to discover they had been sitting on top of my head the whole time!
My husband left his phone at home once so what do I do? I call him to let him know!
I hope it's not old age...

Glad you finally found them, bala. Haha
