What kinda disscusion you like?

I am a new member on mylot....Started new disscusions which were pretty good according to me but i never get more than 8 responses....why is that?...so tell me what kinda disscuion you like...is it a advice giving one or sharing something or anything....so that i can start a disscusion to which people respond.....

Popular discussions seem to be on interests that many people have like 'life' and 'people'. Personally I am pleased to respond to discussions about my favorite topic which is 'travel'. I enjoy advice so I can help people most of all. I like to share things I have found out which interest me and ask key questions like 'Do you...' and Have you ever...?' It is worth looking at the discussions really successful My Lot members begin. Some of them get about one hundred responses. I feel lucky to get one response and if I get ten responses I feel delighted. Good luck.

actually i am stuck at eight....half the disscusions have gotten me 8 responses....therefore its frustrating....

I usually try to respond to discussions that ask a question. I think the best discussion I started was about American Idol. Try to start something that is in the news or something about a TV show that is popular. I also try to respond to discussions that my friends have started so they will respond to mine. I don't know why some posts get only 8 replies and others get 60. The posts i respond to are on subjects I like. I start posts on the sporti s I have seen , the commericals I like or loathe. And if there is a burning question , I'll ask it here. There are so many different people here that I will get my question answered.i got the most response on my do yo like sunset or sunrise post.So I guess if you keep your posts to general questions and people will respond. ps. I love your avatar.

You need to have more friends in your friends list. Try responding to your friends discussion most of the time. This will increase the chance that they will in turn reply to your discussions.
As far as my interest is concerened, I don't think I can make classification of discussions. I only go for general type discussion which doesn't require me to give a lot of thinking.

i like to respond in every discussions, as long as i know the topics to be discussed and as long as the topics are good. it's not right to post topics which violated mylot, you will be deducted when commenting on the topics too.
