As some of you know, Mikey is my middle son(and yes I still come him Mikey) . He is going to Washington state to be a meteorolgist. He is in his last year and already has a job lined up when he gets out. I always get excited to see my sons return, when they leave for months at a time. Mikey will be here some time today. He rode the train down from Seattle to Portland.I'm so excited, I have missed him terribly. We do talk online. On aim and hes on my face book but its not the same as real life. I can give him real life hugs .
So my question is. Do you have any children who go away from home?? Maybe spend the weekend else where. Are you glad to see them gone for a while. Happy when they retrun??
Maybe its not a child but one of your other loved ones. Your spouse, your pet or your friendly neighborhood friend? lol
By the way I do have a few pics of Mikey, in my pics page if anyone would like to see.

Oh honey I am SO pleased for you sweetheart , I really am - I know just how excited you must be! Remember to give him a hug from his old Aunty Mo - ok?
As for kids going - well NIall goes to his Dads most summers and I miss him like crazy when he is gone and could cheerfully throttle him within an hour of him getting home normally! lol
Niamh occasionally goes to my sisters for a weekend or a week sometimes in the longer school holiday and I really miss her - usually when she comes back sheis so sweet I don't want to throttle her for ages! lol xxx

Did you tell him I am scary and Scottish and I will track him down and smother him in cuddles and kisses so it might be easier if he lets you do the honours just once? My nephews here may all be (mostly) over 6ft but they are well trained and always come give their auld Aunty Mo a hug whenever I see them - it is much easier than trying to avoid it and paying the consequences! lol
Weird how you miss them like crazy yet they can drive you loopy in no time isn't it? lol xxx

Not my children as they're both grown and have families of their own, but my eldest granddaughter is flying out to New York on the 1st April of all days, her first flight without her parents, and a long one at that! She's only going for five days but she's really excited, and apprehensive about not having her parents with her at the same time. She's going with a group from her college, and I shall miss her a lot. No doubt she'll make up for lost time when she gets back though... she can talk the hind leg off a donkey and I know she'll be full of it all!!! ha ha ha.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

My husband has a son named Mikey. Well he's Michael, called Mike, but I still hear his family refer to him as Mikey, and when someone says Mikey, I know precisely who they are talking about. He's a grown man (hell he's older than I am, and I'm his new step-mother! LOL). That's how it is with kids. They get a nickname, and it sticks. :)
