do you laugh at your kids cartoon shows?

for the most part, I think the shows now a days for kids are very very stupid... Spongebob Squarepants...Chowder... Adventures in Flapjack...these are all on cartoon network... now they even have more teen oriented cartoons as well. For the most part --especially in the winter, my son who is 5 and will be 6 this summer loves these cartoons and watches them while I am cleaning. I tend to block them out for the most part...but every once in a while they will come off with a good one liner...
like he was watching one yesterday "life of a teenage robot" and a girl in there said "I told you I dont speek geek."... this caught me as funny as I was cleaning the bathroom...perhaps it was just the fumes 
, however it got me thinking...

I do find myself laughing at my sons cartoons.. The wonderpets always makes me laugh.(and sing)LOL. I also think spongebob is funny in a very sarcastic way. My son loves spongebob but he is not allowed to really watch him because he is only 3 and well its not really meant for someone his age but I do find myself watching it.

I know what you mean about spongebob...as there are many shows out there that I dont think my son gets but he thinks its funny when the characters falls down or make a funny noise and stuff like that... I love for him to watch "the backyardigans" and "dora the explorer" ..etc, as those really teach alot... he has learned alot from them.

I don't have a kid but I have a sister who is 9 years younger than me, whn she watches cartoon, I watch with her and we both like it and laugh loud when it is funny:-D

Mine are getting a little older, so they do not watch as many cartoons. My youngest is 7 and he loves Phineas & Ferb. I can watch that one with them. But I really do not like Spongebob. They are getting more into the sitcoms. They both love Drake & Josh, and Wizards of Waverly Place. My oldest one, who is 9, loves to watch The Legend of the Seeker.

I cant wait for mine to start into those ones...my cousins are 10 and 14 and they watch those ones and my son will watch them too with his cousins when we are together. --but mine are 5 and 1... I have a long way to go... LOL

I am with you on most of the shows are just out right stupid, but for the children they are funny. We are stuck on the spongebob square pants mode most of the time, and every once in a while, they will do something silly and I'll get a good chuckle out of it. The one that seems to make me laugh the most is ICarly, and Drake and Josh, I just bust up when listening to them. My 6 and half year old, thinks it funny when I start laughing, so he starts laughing at me, and then are both laughing at each other, which makes for good laughs in the house.

yeah, I have seen those shows too...I like icarly, but my son doesnt watch those yet...LOL

The ones they had when I was a kid was way more violent then the ones they have on now. For example Tom and Jerry and the Roadrunner cartoons.
They were just as stupid only more violent and didn't have any type of moral lesson added to it.
I like Spongebob though. He makes me laugh more that the cartoons I watched when I was a child.

Oh I love The Backyardigans and I think they teach so much and I sing along with them too...LOL, I catch myself laughing at some of the spongebobs and others but for the most part they are stupid... but yes, less violent I agree.

Ummm....my husband and I do not have any kids yet but we do watch cartoons. Recently we watched The Three Musketeers by Mickey Donald N Goofy. It was funny we laughed. We still watch cartoons on our relaxing nights. If I can borrow some from my sister we would watch. We would watch those we haven't seen before. We also saw ScoobyDoo movie cartoon..........

It was the fumes. haha.
I love the stupidity of cartoons, it makes them enjoyable. While I usually just watch more "adult" ones like Family Guy and South Park, I will admit I have seen the 3 you mentioned and have laughed thoroughly. They are pretty hilarious and just strange.

Once in a while I do laugh at the kid's cartoons. I have to say there are several times I will catch a line that flies right over the kid's heads and is targeted I think at the adults who might be watching. I don't know if cartoons are more stupid nowadays, but I would say they do tend to lean a little towards the bizarre. But on the flipside, there are many more cartoons that are educational as well. When I was a kid, they were mostly just for a laugh.

I used to laugh at kids cartoon shows.
As far as my character is concerned, i spend most of the day laughing.
So cartoons are certainly a nice medium to laugh.My sister used to watch cartoons and used to laugh at them when i happened to be there.

I watch spongebob even when my kids isn't home! I love courage the cowardly dog and old cartoons like bugs bunny, who doesn't love them! My husband thinks I am crazy but spongebob is funny! I find some of the cartoons annoying like that one with timmy turner? I can't think of the name...that annoys me.

HAHAHAH, that one is The fairly oddparents... yeah, that one is pretty annoying and another one my son watches... thank goodness he watches that one less often now... I try to stay busy when his shows are on, but we have a small house so I hear it anyway... LOL

yeah i do watch some of the cartoon shows with my kids and i like some of them very much such as mr.bean ,tom and jerry,shinchan etc,i love to play and laugh with my kids.

I don't have any kids, but I watch a lot of pixar films because I think they are absolutely hilarious. I actually watched two childrens films last night, one of them I have no idea what it was, it looked like it might have been the emperors new groove, and the other one was cars. I think cars is so funny!

Oh my goodness I love cartoons. I used to watch Sponge Bob but now it gives me panic attacks :). Any way me and my husband love Misadventures of Flapjack. We laugh all the time with the kids. Chowder is good too. You know even if we are watching cartoons from when we were kids we catch things that we did not understand then. I was watching Heman the other day and I thought it was so fruity. Cartoons when I was little sucked compared to now, except the Disney movies they rocked.
