I have always tried not to allow my children to make fun of less fortunate children.I have grounded my children for making fun of others. It is not the child's fault that his or her parents do not make the money needed to give the child designer close or the latest electronics. I am not saying that it is the parents fault that the money is not their most of us do the best we can. We are not rich nor are we doing all that well but we are doing the best we can. I am sure that 99% of the parents are doing the same. But what I am saying is that we as parents have missed it with our childeren hurting other childrens filling because of financial statues. So what I want to know is why do we as parents let our childeren torment other children?

I refuse to let my kids make fun of any other kids it is something that I am very stern on! And I even have my eyes and ears at his school! With the way the money is for most. I have really spent a great deal of time explaining to my 8 year old son how this could effect another kid! I have even went to the point the I porposely dressed my son in some really shabby clothes and sent him to school just to show him how it felt! This has cut done on any poking fun of others for their clothes! Some may think I am wrong for this but! its how I do things and it works so.....! I will not stand for my kids for torment another child for any reason!

I think you done the right thing in sending him to school that way . if everyone would do things like that eventually this would be a great world to live in .

it is our call as parents to teach our children to treat other people, rich or poor, nicely. We can start teaching them by example. I mean, if we as parents treat the children nicely even if they are just streetchildren, then our children will follow through.
