I have noticed over the years that when I go to the store a majority of the time the brand of things I pick up are the brands I remember my mom buying when I was a kid. Peter Pan peanut butter, Log Cabin syrup, Del Monte green beans, Hunt's Ketchup, Banquet frozen pot pies...... Do you stick to the brands you grew up with or do you try out other brands and maybe find a new favorite brand of something?

I think I tend to buy the same brands that I grew up on. Like you mentioned the banquet frozen pot pies. I really did not like them, but I had to eat them, I liked the crust best My mother used to buy log cabin syrup, I now buy mrs butterworth. there are a few brands that I have switched to.

Funny, the crust on the pot pie is my favorite part too.

I usually do find myself buying the brands that I grew up with. It seems like our mom's bought alot of the same brands lol. My mom also buys miracle whip instead of mayonaise, so that is what I am used to, and buy as well. i don't really care for mayonaise except for in certain things. I also use sweet baby ray's bbq sauce , and i am pretty sure my mom uses that also. I tend to buy alot of the things to make the meals that I grew up eating as a kid as well.

I have stuck with some. But with money tight, I also buy some store brands. Soda and peanut butter I tend to stick with the ones I grew up with. Sometimes your taste buds just want them.

I don't necessarily go for brands I grew up with, but certain things I do go for tried and true brands. It usually depends. Mostly I go for generic brand if I can, but sometimes they just don't cut it, and so I go for brands I've heard of, or I've tried and liked. I also use Peter Pan peanut butter. I've tried most of the others and just can't stand them. Reese's is good too, but I mostly stick with Peter Pan. Syrup and canned veggies I can do generic, that's fine. Ketchup for us has got to be Heinz, there's just no substitute.

I like the familiarity of buying brands that my family used way-back-when, but honestly, I don't remember too many of the brands we used in my childhood. I must not have been paying enough attention. I generally go back and forth between using the same-old same-old brands and trying new ones - it really just depends on the price these days.
