My brother looks troubled these days.Whenever I asked him "what's wrong?" he just shrug and says,"its nothing." Why do guys always hide their feelings? Do they think they should always look tough to be accepted? God Bless.

Because guys want to come to a solution on their own. Girls are taught to talk about their feelings, and share experiences to other. But boys are taught to be manly, to hide the tears, to face a problem like a man. When they are stressed, they hide to consider what to do. "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" is a good book of understanding how culture trains boys and girls to be different.

Guys always hide their feelings because it has something to do in what we called "ego". We all know that guys always think about their ego. It has something to do with their self esteem. They dont want to share their feelings and want to keep it on themselves. Have you noticed that girls are easier to ask with their problems in life than guys? We, girls are more open to talk about our emotions. Don't wonder because its just a one of a natural characteristics of guys.

I guess we guys hide our feelings to portray an image of toughness. It makes our partners or our loved ones think that we are stable and strong. It also gives a sense of assurance to them that we can handle our own problems. It may also be our society. A macho image is what almost all men aspire for.. at least that's what I think.

It's because they need to feel strong and in control. They need to be the heroes. I suppose at least.

My husband says that men aren't supposed to cry or show much emotion. He thinks that to show emotion is to show weakness, and I think that there are many men in the world that share his view. He will show love and affection, and he will show anger and frustration, but he tries to hide worry, stress, and sadness. It is a rarity for me to see him display those emotions, but I welcome it when he does open up to me.

Feelings is a feminine thing. So even though men may feel they wont express it as they dont feel to express. It the trait of the females to express their feelings.More often than not men tend to beleive that they are mentally stronger which is why they tend to hide their feelings. Or really do men have feelings?hahaha
