Let's talk about using "Yogurt" in cooking!

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm really curious. Sometimes I see dishes which requires the use of yogurt as an ingredient. I don't know how that would turn out though. I haven't tasted anything cooked with yogurt before. Does it change the taste of the dish? If yes, how so?
Please enlighten me fellow foodies and chefs!

I haven't tasted any dish that has yogurt in it yet. I think it might add in a contrast of flavor from the other ingredients in the dish that has it. I'd love to try a dish that has yogurt in it. Do you know any dish that has them?

I sometimes bake a yoghurt and orange mousse cake which has the mixed consistency of a light cake mixed almost with a thickened custard texture, it is delicious and extemely light. I make it with natural Greek youghurt but imagine that adding any flavoured youghurt would have the same result.
