cost of living 1989 yo 2006

I work 4 days on 4 days off 7am-7pm and get &2000 p/a for this shift patten this payment started in sept 1989 and has not been increased so i have two questions,what payment should be paid Sept 2006 if cost of living rises had been added to the &2000 and what in real terms has the &2000 been devalued to in Sept 2006
