Jolly Green Giant ?

Why is the Jolly Green Giant clothes made of vegetation? I always had the impression he was a vegetable himself. Or is he simply just a green colored man? In that case, is he anyway related to the Incredible Hulk?

I think his clothes are made from vegetaion because he grows vegetables. Green Giant vegetables. If he grew fruit he probably would wear clothes made from fruit I would guess. LOL. Have a good lotting day.

J.G.G. never came off as being a violent, or unstable individual to me. Any relation to the Hulk would be surprising If he's a giant, mutated pea, then maybe gamma radiation is a part of his back story... ...THe clothes are probably made of hemp. Don't know why, but I get a hemp vibe from the Green man.
