Summer officially starts this week for most of us and I wonder what my fellow mylotters are planning to do this summer...this is for those who are students and teachers, and are off for a whole two-month vacation from the regular school days. For me, it means planning for some relaxing weekends, or this early, I'm planning to visit some relatives in another city, some 4 hours and a half drive from our place come May. I already had some initial talks with my two kids and husband and they're ok with my suggestion. May 16 is the town fiesta of the place, so if plans push through, that would be one relaxing weekend I'm looking forward to. Of course since I'm in a school, I'll work around the schedule for summer classes and other school-related activities like planning sessions, retreats, educators' congress, pre-opening activities, and before I know it, the start of the regular classes in June. I resolve to relax at every opportunity while it's still summer; June will be so hectic I'm not really looking forward to it. It would be good to know some of your plans. Please share....

I really do not have any plans. I'm graduating this summer so I will have to take a few summer classes so I can finally get my degree. However, this summer I definitely need to find a job. I'm not sure where I'm going to be living either but I need to find somewhere to live. I need to find a job too and I'm worried about how that is going to work out. My summer is going to be full of a lot of decision making, job hunting and discovering more about myself I guess.

I see..you will be in full speed this summer. Good luck on your job hunting. Persevere...don't get discouraged at once. Remember, the great Abraham Lincoln suffered a string of failures before he became a US President.

I have no big plans, actually. I just plan on taking a breather from school, and hopefully working more and saving up more money. I have to be in a wedding (I'm my cousin's bridesmaid) in June, and I will more than likely find time to go on a couple small road trips with friends before the end of the summer. Nothing too spectacular, though.
