Just now,I updated my preferences about notification.I checked all the columns and I could receive emails about everything in mylot.Thats kind of annoying cuz I dont like checking many emails daily. So I turned off several of them.I wouldnt receive emails when others respond to my discussions.I can read in 'started' anyway. But I would still receive emails when others give comments on my responses.I dont wanna miss others'comments. What about you?How do you deal with your notifications? Happy mylotting!

Hi I am receiving those notifications about responses, comments, friendship request, etc This helps me to keep track of the responder to the discussion and I might know about it. Comments will always remain on because I find it very difficult to sort them out when there are more responses.

I recieve a mail notification, whenever someone responds to my discussion, or when someone comments on my response in another discussion as well. I have had these settings as it is from the day i became active here.

Hi. I haven't turned my notifications off. I always look at the new comments, on the responses I made. but if I see a new response, I just look at one then delete the others, and automatically look at mylot and see the responses. so when the discussion is not that active anymore, I can still be notified just in case someone will respond to it again. take care

Hi sweet: I'm sort of on the fense when it comes to the notifications. I turn some off, but still get them. Then there are so many discussions that my box is full of them. A lot of times the majority of my messages are from discussions that were started. Most of the time, I don't even use them. I just go to the discussions page and tab through the different ones. That too can be time consuming, and overwhelming as there are so many of them. I do take a little time out to read the discussions in my mail box though. I usually have one of two reactions. Either I decide to respond or I think the discussion is meaningless and delete it. I haven't been here too long, but I'm starting to feel like I'm wasting a lot of time here as there are more and more discussions that are started over stupid stuff. I know, you are probably thinking this is a place for people to say what they want. But is it? What about the discussions that get deleted. If this were a place where we can talk about what we want, then our discussions wouldn't be deleted. No one has to agree with the comment as thats my opinion and experience. On top of that, some people here beat up on others for what they say. How can you jump on anyone for having an opinionn? I just don't understand that. Just as turning notifications on and off is an individual option, so are our opinions. I just don't think that some of the things said and done here are fair. Thanks for listening to me babble...... Take care......
