I went out last night, and I had a few drinks. I don't know what happened, but I ended up getting pretty drunk and waking up still a little intoxicated. Now I am at the point where I am hungover, and I am at work. I just called my boss and told him I was sick and I needed to go home. I feel bad that my poor choices last night are effecting my work today.
Does anyone have any input? How many of you feel badly when you leave work for a hangover? Do you only drink on weekends?

In my opinion since you chose to go out drinking, you should accept the consequences of your actions, and live your day with the pain, while still doing what you would do if you were not hungover. That being said, I have been sent home from work due to hangovers, but I have never asked to go home. I guess, when you start having 5 bathroom breaks a minute, to go vomit, it is more productive you aren't there. And I drink on what ever day, I happen to be drinking, in more recent years, I have taken care to not drink overly much on days when I will be working the next day. I by no means have what is referred to as a 9-5 job. And I usually do work on weekends, so that leaves most weekend drinking out. Final thoughts, next time, try drinking some pear cactus juice before going out, it reduces the effects of hangovers, you can get it at your health food stores, usually. Cheers.
