Have you ever reversed into something when driving?

Many years ago I had a small van. I was giving some friends a lift home, so there were 3 people in the back, and I couldn't see out of the rear window. We were in a carpark and I was reversing out of the parking space. I asked the people in the back of the van if there was anything behind me, and they said 'no', so I backed out and there was this awful crunch. I had hit a ticket machine! Luckily I was moving fairly slowly, so there was very little damage. Since then I've been very wary of relying on my passengers! Has anything like this happened to you?

When I was pregnant with our first child my sister and I went shopping. We got in the car and we were ready to leave. I looked back and there was no one coming or anything. I started to back up and next thing I know the car jerked. We got out and here another lady and I had backed into each other. The damage wasn't bad at all. The only damage was her tail light was busted out. Luckily my dad knew them, her husband actually fixes my dads car so all I had to pay for was the tail light, I didn't have to pay for the labor.

Was it actually you fault? It's lucky your dad know them, it's always best if you don't have to claim on the insurance!
