Pick them up, love them and hold them. The physical closeness of somebody is what babies need. You will not spoil them if you do this, you will only create a more loving bond between parent and child. Nine times out of ten it works, and if it doesn't work for you...try being silly. Bounce them on your knee (only if they are old enough) and make funny faces at them. Just love them and hold them close and sometimes...just hold them, hug them and walk around the room with them while rocking them back and forth :)

I think every child is different, but they definitely love alot of the same things that others like. When my daughter is fussy, sometimes she is teething so I may give her orajel or infant's tylenol to help her calm down because of the pain in her mouth. Also, she may be hungry, so I feed her, or she may need a diaper changed, or may have gas. But the biggest thing that she craves when she is crying is to be held close to me. She instantly stops crying, but if I set her down, she cries again like the world is going to end lol. Rubbing her back and almost cooing to her also makes her happy.

I don't know why, my baby seems to like going up and down the staircase. When he's crying, and we carry him upstairs or downstairs, he stops crying for awhile. Usually my baby cries for certain reason, so when I find out the reason and fulfill his needs, then he'll stop crying.

I would try a gentle cuddle with the baby or playing soft music. For a baby of six months old the reason why he or she is crying could be teething so I might offer a teething rattle. For a baby or six to twelve months holding a toy and playing a game could stop the crying.

Hi! first I do the usual routine, I will make him burp. or I will put manzanilla in his tummy. I will give him some toys. something that he will be interested. If still he doesn't stop, I'll carry him and hum him a song. a christian song. It was effective with my baby take care

When my baby is crying even when he has no poo poo or he is not hungry, I just carry him and we roam around the house. After doing that I put him back to bed and he is then calm. Sometimes I gave him toys or anything he can touch because babies also feel bored. Another thing I do is to let him watch the television or the chimes outside the door because he loves seeing them blown by the wind. If my son is still crying most of the time he is already sleepy.
