Cremation is widely accepted today in four corners of the world. Did in the Bible God said that part of mans road to heaven that he will be rotted and his flesh will eat by worms. That when God return here on Earth, he will call all man from all corners of the world even the dead will rose from the grave and stand up to face Gods final judgment. Don't you think that cremation is against Gods law and his order of nature?

God also said that after we die we won't need our earthly bodies any longer because we'll be given new, perfect bodies. Therefore, I don't think He really cares what happens to the bodies after the souls leave them.

That's simple, The ones who accept an cremation don't follow the Bible. In their culture or in their religion burial maybe just as offensive as cremation is to you. It takes all kinds.

If I did believe that, I'd have to wonder if those who have perished in fire are now lost.. But I don't believe anything is beyond God. There may be an old testament law about it for Israel, but I haven't seen any mention of it in the new testament, and the early christians/apostles stated after much praye, that gentile converts did not need to observe the many laws of Moses.. blessings..

Although I am Roman Catholic, I cannot really answer this question for you since I have an uncle, stepdad and several fur babies who were cremated upon their deaths. Cremation is favored over burial because we are running out of space on earth to bury our loved ones in the ground. Do you think God doesn't understand that we're running out of room on earth to bury our loved ones in? I am pretty sure He does.

I don't think there is anything in Christianity that forbids cremation. "Dust thou art, and to dust thou will return', so what does it matter if you are buried or burnt. The promise of Our Lord is that he will raise us up in more beautiful bodies, heavenly bodies, and I believe it. Personally, I would like to be cremated. What do my family want to do with a monument over my husk? The essential me will be gone, and I will be taking up space and some diseases which will come up 'BOO' to infect other people, if my grave is ever dug up.

No, its not against the God's law. As he said, "From dust you came, to dust you shall come back"

All the laws that are purported to be from God were started by Organized Religion. Who heard God say,"part of man's road to heaven that he will be rotted and his flesh will be eaten by worms?" Catholic Religion will not allow a Non-Catholic to be buried in a Catholic Cemetery. This is because the worms in a Catholic Cemetery are specially trained to eat only the bodies of good Practicing Catholics.

Based on what you've said above it proves that it is against the law of God.. I really don't have idea actually about this thing. Well, honestly if I will die I want my body to be cremate than buried in the ground because cremation saves more money since you don't need to buy a lot in the cemetery and pay every year just to maintain the tomb.. For me cremation if more practical thing to do now because your body will become just an ash and the family can just keep it in the jar and bring it inside the house or let the ash flew away in the wind as the soul do the same... Well, if cremation is against the will of God then I think most people don't believe that God will come in this world for his final judgment since many people right now just want to cremate their body..

What a great topic...I have been pondering the thought of both cremation and burial. Personally I think I would prefer to be cremated and spread some where beautiful so when my loved ones want to speak to me I'll be in the air. However I'm not sure how this fits in to God's eyes and have been meaning to speak to a preacher about it. It seems to me that as long as we have accepting jesus in our hearts then we will be accepted into heaven and we don't take our bodies with us, but I'm not sure if it would be condsidered a sin to be cremated or not. I'm glad you wrote about this topic it's interesting reading everyone's point of views.

cremation is not against god law,in fact we celebrate ash wensday for catholic. this activity putting ash on your forehead, while the prist tell you"you came from dust and in dust you will return." i want to be cremated when i die, this only show that you are turning back to where did you came from.turning into ash is better that letting your body eaten by insects, bacteria or a fungus.for me this is showing respect on god. showing that you came to where you came from.
