I have seen so many teen agers and even adult s=wearing pants with holes or tear on it. They said that is fashion, style,.. what? and they even said, the kind of pants are more expensive than the one that is normal or natural with no hole or tear on it. I sometimes ask to myself, what is really the taste of our designers now a days? they think it COOL to have pants with holes.. what do you think about it? do you allow your kids wearing that? for me? it's a no.. no.. thing.

Holes in jeans as fashion? - Holes in jeans as fashion I would have to say would be harmless; providing where those holes are...If those holes are in the legs, the holes are harmless. If those holes are where the underwear cover, or where the pockets need to be, those pants need to be patched or put in the trash.
Holes in jeans as fashion I would have to say would be harmless; providing where those holes are. * If those holes are in the legs, the holes are harmless. If those holes are where the underwear cover, or where the pockets need to be, those pants need to be patched or put in the trash. * Some schools do not allow denim with holes, or denim at all. * I don't have kids, but that's just my two cents.

In some areas it's so bad that cities are passing laws about it. Citizens are becoming sick of having their views marred with teenager's underpants.

My daughter has a pair of jeans that have a hole in them. the hole is just above the knee. She does not and can not wear them to school. She did and got a detention. She dresses neatly and the hole does not bother me a bit. I also have some jeans that have a hole in them. I wear them around on my days off. I've seen the ones that are bought that way and as with anything...it all depends on where they are worn and what they are worn with.

I don't buy them that way but if they get a hole in the knee, I wear them when I am off from work. I really am not out to impress anyone and my wallet does not afford many new clothes. As for my daughter....it appears that I spoke to soon on her. It seems that she has in fact worn those jeans to school as a means of protesting her right to dress as she likes. It is just one hole and it is not on the butt and she feels the school has no right to discipline her for them. kids!!

really? you are also using jeans with hole in them? well, some of my friends are doing that too but I am not. I feel awkward wearing them in public if I have one. And for some people who purposely buy that for use? I don't understand why they like it?

I am soooo pleased when I keep my old clothes long enough till they are in fashion again! haha Holes/no holes; flares/stovepipes; wide lapels/narrow lapels; etc. etc. Now I know what someone said to me yesterday when they said I was in top fashion gear with the knees of my gardening jeans ripped!!

As long as the holes are below thigh part it is ok. I would not like if there is hole above thigh part. Are those more costlier than the normal ones. LOL! We can tear our normal pants to make them look alike those which are costlier in the market without spending a single penny! I don't like these pants as I feel like beggar. I would go for only normal ones.

Although there is a nice part of it too! I mean if I am going in some party or something like that then if I get my pants teared then also I can afford it to go in the party without thinking that people would think bad! I have seen on really big actor coming for a TV interview in those teared jeans! he was looking aweful!

Hi Bebs. My daughter's 13 and so far, this has not been an issue with her. She's more of the conventional type. She doesn't really care much about what the latest trends are. She wears clothes that are comfortable for her. I surely hope it stays this way. Thanks. Have a great day!

I dont mind my children wearing the pants with holes as long as the holes are not where they are not to be.when all the world looks to the fashion why not give our children a chance if they like it?

The holes in the pants are always better than say a skirt or a mini as it exposes less compared to the skirts. What you say?Being a parent I too know what should be worn by my children.

I think there is nothing wrong with wearing pants that has hole in it, as long as it is below knee level, so as not make it scandalous.

it is never wrong to wear ripped off pants when you are going to the farm or garden but not to other public places like malls and parties.

When I was a teenager it was fashionable to wear curtain material like flowery dresses. A bit later it was to wear jeans that looked scruffy with rips at the knees and holes in them. My son who will be 14 years old next month dresses smartly and wouldn't want to wear trousers with holes in. If he did then I would discuss the matter with him. I might let him wear the clothes so he could keep up with fashion. One of my friends when we were teenagers approached her and offered her money to buy a new pair of jeans without holes in them.

Friend its todays fashion and we cann't stop our childrens, teens to wear this type of cloths.Today youth think it as fashion but old peoples think that its waste and think that he/she is from poor family. Yes one of my friend wore this type of cloths and came to me to go to party and my grand ma said to him "Son,its bad to see you please wear my g.sons dress".I just laughed and said to my grand mother that he is not from poor family this type of dressing is today's fashion....

No, I don't like it. I do have a pants that has hole on it because I used to always wear that and it became old, I use it for working outside or go fishing with my husband now. Young kids think it is trendy and fashionable but I think I consider it as trashy clothes.

I say as long as they are clean and look clean otherwise its fine. And that the holes are in appropeiate places. I know I used to wear them when I was younger, I still have a few pairs that have a hole in the knee or there is one with a like a golf ball sized whole below the knee and over to the side. My oldest son is 8 and he has 2 pairs of jeans, his favorties, and they each have holes in the knees. I attempted to get rid of them but he asked about them and wanted them back so I gave them back. My daughter who is 5 has a pair with a hole in 1 knee and she refuses to wear them. She is waaayyy to into clothes to wear something with a hole in it.

yeah, right.. hahah that is your opinion maybe because you have no kids and it doesn't affect much.. but for me? even if I don't have kids but I have nieces and nephews.. I would be upset with them wearing this attire in parties or school because this will reflect on their parents or the entire family, why we allow them to have that.. hahaha..

i do too get surprised when people do that. i don't think it is comfortable to wear any thing like it. i would not have the guts to wear any thing like that in public. but i just don't know why they don't mind being seen like that.

It's because it is in fashion.. Many actors and actresses wear it as role models to the youth. The worst informal dress.. hahahah...it's just like they are going to the farm to harvest tomatoes.. good if they really are going gardening?? but in public places? or party?

Just a few weeks ago, I went through all of my kids' clothes and got rid of everything that had holes in it. This upset my oldest, because he said that everyone wears their pants like that. I told him that the way I feel about it, holey pants are for plaay, not school, ansd since he wouldn't stop wearing them to scool, I was throwing them away. I think that when my kids try to wear clothes that have holes in them, it reflect badly on me, as a parent, and them, as a student.

Exactly right!!! that's what I am thinking when I see these young people wearing those type of pants.. I would think, what did their parents say on this? sure it will reflect on how parents deal with their kid's appearance in public. My hubby do not really like to see his kids wearing indecent attire if public because he said..it will reflect on him..

I remember when my son was in his teenage, he tried to wear it for fun. As long as he does not wear in school, I am fine. But showing it round is against my will. I would feel akward if my acquainses sees him dressed in such fashionable way. He is not in the pop field, better not, and he at least agreed to my request, to my relief.

You are a great parent.. congratulations for not allowing your kid wear that in public places where people can identify him as your son. It surely reflects on us on how we deal with our kids appearance.

I don't mind it at all, though I won't wear it myself. It's just a new fashion, it is generation gap that makes us feeling sick about their behavior/dressing. I think most of parents would feel strange about their kids' novelties.

Well, for me, wearing tear jeans to a party is not formal. Well, it depends upon the type of party. If its is a gang party? well, it can be... but most people I've seen wearing ripped off jeans are those people who are harvesting grains in the farm. Sorry, but this is just my old fashioned opinion..

wearing rugged and pants with holes are awesome for teens and for rockstars that living the life of the past rockstars.if i will have a child i will let him/her wear pants like that, because i also love rugged and pants with holes it's refreshing when the wind touches ur skip covered with pants with holes. showing or following fashion is not bad,but never ever put it over the limit, always know your limitations on following fashion, think of the things that can make you a better person.
