How do you tell a 23 month old that they are too old for something?

I have asked this question in the past but to no avail. My daughter will be 23 months old on the 26th of this month. She still likes to breastfeed to go o sleep & I have had countless fights with her to have a bottle or sipper cup of cows milk instead to go to sleep. How can I tell her that she is too old to be on the boob?

I have seen 3/4/5 year olds still wanting to suckle. I feel that is over doing it. Tell her that she is a big girl and can lay down with a sippy cup and since she has teeth she is hurting you. I wouldn't give in because she would know that you will give in so be consistent and stick to it. Yes, easier said than done, but keep to your word. It may take some time, crying, struggling, and fighting but she will understand.

You stop giving it to her and make her drink out of a cup. This isn't rocket science. She's 2. You're the adult. You set the tone. If she wants to cry because she didn't get her way, let her. There is nothing wrong with it.
