it is finally out that the season 2 of ipl will be held in south africa.the toss was between england and south africa.the pleasent conditions and successful hosting of t 20 world cup made south africa an suitable contender.the matches will be from april 18 to may 24.the opening ceremony will be in capetown.six venues have been selected. the telecast timings will be 4 pm to 8 pm.the players from pakistan are banned to participate in the tournament.one thing is sure the players will surely miss the mass audience.their is a type of hysteria when the matches are played in india.the first season of ipl was hugely successful because of audiences.there is a doubt this time as south africa has not that much population.the other thing is that the very concept of city based teams will not sustain outside the country. well we as cricket buff will surely watch the live telecast of the match and will hope that next season will be in our own country.
