Do you think a lot?

I do think a lot a lot when I'm home alone all the time. Let's say I have 10 hours being alone at home for 5 days in a week. Good enough for me to think anything. It really drives me crazy sometimes. When I'm doing stuff and occupied by the house work or internet, I'm fine, otherwise, when the house is quiet and I'm not doing anything, I just think about stuff what is always bothering me... Just like now, I'm thinking about my life - did I make a good decision so far at this point? I don't konw, I'm just being very blue right now and thinking about lots of stuff... Is anybody out there like me? Think a lot in the alone time?

I have the same feeling as you ,so I can understrand your feelings. I am a one-child , and I always stay home alone. When I was very young , my parents let me stay home alone ,I had to play with the doll, and no one to talk with . Though I did not know what lonely is ,but I really did not like stay alone. When I begin to my school ,I spend my every holiday alone.Sometimes I go to play with my friends ,but most of the time ,I only own a person stay. I also think a lot , It is a effective manner for spending time !

most of the people tend to think a lot about their life and finally feel upset for all that they have not achieved. this happens mainly because we compare ourselves with those who are in a better position than us.this leads to unhappiness and dissatisfaction. now, if we think of all those people who are living a far difficult life than us then for sure, we would have a sense of satisfcation. such thoughts would not let us feel that life is difficult. your question has your answer, when you are occupied then you don't tend to think too much about such things, so be occupied all the time. there are mny things that you can do after finishing your daily chores and when you are not surfing the net. you can develop reading habits, read ainspirational books or anythng that you like. or take up some other hobby. if you keep busy al the time then your mind would not sway n all direction to bother you. rule you mind, don't let your mind rule you. do 'opposition thinking'. whenever you get such stray thoughts, convert them into good ones.

So true, so true, so true. HERE: "whenever you get such stray thoughts, convert them into good ones." That's so true, it works for and everybody should practice this. The is "good" or "bad" for you is just a state of mind. Since we are born we have so many people and things influencing in our lives that we get lost. So saying that you are sad or happy is just a lie. So 'opposition thinking' is the final solution. Actually it's even better not to let your feelings take over you. Sorrow, anxieties are just an ilusions. Wake up! Wake up and start thinking a lot that's the only way for life!

I do it even when I am busy. My mind moves at a million miles per hour and it is easy to get overwhelmed for me anyway. I am always over thinking things I believe. And giving myself anxiety attacks from dwelling on trivial issues too hard. When I am alone I am calmer though and have more time for reflection. Usually I won't work myself up into a frenzy but I have before. I meditate a lot to calm my mind and ease my troubles.

Yes, that is all that I do is think! You are not by yourself at all! I stay thinking about my life and how I feel about it. What things that I regret and do want to change. I think about wishing that my life could have been easier and more fortunate than it is as of now. I think of my kids and how I want to protect them from this selfish world. I think about how long I may stay married to my husband. I love him, but there are times that I do wonder if we were meant to be. I think about making sure that most of my goals that I have set out will come to pass this year. I think about my family and how terrible thaey have made life rough for me. I think about how badly my mother-in-law has treated me in the past. I am thinking about so many things. That is all that I do. I wished that I could have everthing that I have ever wanted.

Hi friend,It is natural that a human mind when it is awake it would be occupied with thoughts and thoughts.Even I keep thinking all the time but also when I am with people. My mom used to make fun that I think very deeply all the time about something and what will I have to think about all the time. But I am not able to give up the habit and will be thinking only always.Instead we can try to engage our mind with some other work and try to divert our mind from thinking.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

I am a person who remembers many bad thngs from the past too and that is why I consciously try to avoid thinking too much;it is rightly said that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. So, I keep myself occupied by reading a book[thankfully I can read and reread books to my heart's content], when I do not have work on the internet or I feel too tired to sit in front of the comp or if I don't have a good movie to watch on t.v. Reading is a pastime that I can take for long hours put together. So, there is no problem regarding that;only think is that I should not get a head ache with too much of reading. So, I would alternate between watching tv,internet and reading.

i know what u mean. my mind is constantly running on something usually things that are bothering me. that's why i have a hard time sleeping. my grandmother use to say i took my troubles to bed w/me. she was right. i try to clear my mind & think about good things instead of bad times. when i go to bed all i try to keep in my mind is going to sleep but it's hard. if u think u did not make a good choice change it now before it gets worse & no doubt it will if u aren't happy. we all deserve happiness & really it's all up to us to be happy. good luck!

hi i do think when it is necessary and important.i mostly have constructive thinking .thinking about the bygone sad things doesnt fetch us anything and they make us even more weak.one should think of the happy moments and empty mind is a devil;s workshop. one should always have positive thoughts.love you all bye

I always tend to reflect back on what I did during the day when I have some free time to myself. And I think a lot about what I did during random times during the day. So yeah, I think a lot. But it doesn't bother me really, it's just how I like to do things. My brain is in constant action, so maybe that's why I appear so tired all the time. I think too much for my own good sometimes.

I also think a lot whenever I'm home doing nothing. Specially this days that I've resigned as a telemarketer i can't stand the pressure although the clients are kind to me, still i don't like that job. Now I'm thinking about going to school again but i need to support myself and the needs of my 1-year-old daughter. I do know what to do. I'm still dependent to my parents because I am a single parent. There are times that i asked myself if I've made the right decisions in my life. Thinking a lot didn't help me, instead it just make me lost my appetite in eating and it's very stressful but i just find someways to make myself busy. I am an idealistic and creative person but no one believes in me that's one of my biggest problem. I tried to find ways by surfing the internet yet nothing's changed.

Think, think, just think! That's the only point of life (if there is any point). I think all the time. Somethimes when i'm online I get bored and just go to my bed and start thinking. I don't watch tv anymore so I have more time to think! Guess what? my life is much better right now. It doesn't mean i'm happier or sadder that's not the point. I'm a stronger person, thats the point. I know how to deal with my feelings and emotions and i can control everything better. When you forget about the "outside world" and start thinking about yourself and observing every little thing from life you start to accept what actualy IS. No dreams, no expectations only the truth, only what is. Thinking is the only path for the truth. You don't need people around you or tv (i wouldn't discard internet thought he,he) to entertain you because you have a mind where EVERYTHING is possible. No limits for your brain. So just think!

I surf on the void, instead of thinking theu stuff. But sometimes I find myself wandering what "if". Overall the process of using the brain for that function is quite enigmatic in sense that you can blow up any void that you might create.

I'm thinking all the the ... we all think 24 hours a day. Even when we're not concious about it. When we are sleeping our brain should function to do all tasks to keep us alive :) The good point is that you can decide what to think, and try to do it possitive. If we're going to to do something so much time, lets do something that makes us happy.

Yes I am in the same dilemma just like you. I always think a lot because I have a lot of dreams yet to fulfill. I got married last year and I have a baby boy now. My husband is the only one working and provides everything we need. I wish I could get back to work soon because I feel that there is a need to help my husband. Our son is not yet baptized and I have always been dreaming of a simple yet successful celebration for that. I also want my son to have a nice birthday party on his birthday which is six months from now. I always think a lot of things about my life and the life of my love ones. I always think until when should I stay home and take care of my son. I love being a house wife and a mom but sometimes I wish I could work too. I always think of things that could make me sad or happy. I am always alone at home and I feel my mind thinks a lot when my son is already sleeping and I still can't sleep even if I am already tired and want to rest. Most of the time I blame myself and I question my attitude. I constantly talk to my husband but there are just some things that I can not tell him because I know he is tired from work and he does not want me worrying to much. I just need to maybe cry so that I can let go of my frustrations and bad feelings. I am a very positive person but I wonder why I am being eaten by my bad emotions. I wish I could overcome all of the things I am thinking. The best solution yet the most impossible one I could think of to stop my brain from thinking things over and over again is maybe to REMOVE it from my head. So that when I want to rest and sleep could get sleepy easily and not to wait until I my eyes get tired. The most painful thing is that my eyes are closed but my mind is awake and that happens to me everyday except weekends where my husband is at home and I am occupied by lots of things to do. When I am busy yes I absolutely make my mind not to think of problems and what ifs in life. I am glad that I am not alone because there you are, you also think a lot.

Oh you just sound like me... I always think about life and things about my loved ones. I love to be a housewife and would love to be a mother in the future but I wish I could work too to help out with my husband financially too because money is just tight right now everywhere. I'm home alone all the time with my puppy and what I can do is just housework, it makes me feel stressed sometimes really because I cannot help on money first, second it drives people crazy to be staying home all the time... So glad to see your sharing! Thank you. I wish you the best!

Oh yes this happens to me all the time, especially when I'm all alone in my room. I think about of my life and the things I want to do and I should do. I also think about my partner thinking if he loves me or just want my companionship. Things like that always fall into my mind when I'm alone and have nothing to do.
