How long do you wait to give a best response, i would feel bad if i gave the best response and someone else after that made a reply that was worthy.

Hi tea... I usually wait at least two weeks after I start a discussion. I think that's enough time to have people respond. Then I read through all of them again and respond to anyone who I haven't up until that time and give one a best response. I don't like to have too many discussions open at the same time. I want to have people think that I value their responses.

Hi tea...I don't think that's fair - I don't think that gives people enough time. I wait much longer. But way to go on the best response!

Hi Tea, I usually wait about 5 to 6 days. Usually noone else is going to respond by then.

thanks hilgirl311, you make a lot of sense i myself do not respond to older discussions so your point is valid.

Hi ya tea512 I usually wait just a couple of days or so when people stop responding to my discussion. You are always going to get the odd few after that but you would be waiting forever if you were going to give your response when the last person has finally responded which people do after 2 years or so.

I wait for at least a week of inactivity in a discussion then I grant the best response if someone deserves it. So if no body responded in that particular discussion for a week, then I open it up again to review the responses I've previously read. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Good point about the inactivity when new members added all the time. Thanks oyenkai
